Khaat's House in Hogsmeade--(open)

“The Lestrange brothers preferred to charm their victims. Easier to deal with apparently. Who knows though, it pays to get it over quickly than to draw things out. It makes the grief last longer. However, they had no consciences so grief would have meant nothing to them - just unwanted baggage.”

Narcissa did wonder if her temporary licence to kill would be used but she doubted it as long as James continued to be charming. Nether the less, Narcissa took her wand from the pocket of her robes and began to play with it but all the while keeping her eyes on Wilson.

“Blacks have always been exceptional lovers. Dominating and passionate. Wouldn’t that be tempting?” Narcissa said slyly. “But if not that then perhaps money and connections. Maybe not as tempting as the first but the latter is more of a side dish to the main meal if you catch my drift.”

While they were busy making small talk downstairs, Khaat did go through the motions of washing up and brushing her hair and changing clothes. She chose a long, floorlength white gown because it was so comfortable. She had been known at times to wear it to bed when she just needed some extra comfort, although the gown wasn't specifically designed for that. But making herself presentable had been difficult. It took almost more strength than she had, almost the last of it. She didn't know if she could go downstairs, and knew she couldnt hide much of anything at the moment. Instead, she sat on the bed, holding the vial of poison in her hand, and debating on breaking its magical seal. No more pain, no more shouting and debasing voices in her head. No more anguish. It would be so easy, if she could just do the right thing and follow through.

''Do I seem like a beggar to you? I doubt I do'', Wilson replied, referring to the looks of the Lestrange brothers. He then waved with his hand to strengthen the light in the room. ''It did seem a little dusk, don't you think?'', he said.

''I do not need money, I have enough of that and what would I do with connections? You tell me because I sure do not know? Regarding your first... well, offer, why such an offer, dear Narcissa?'', he asked.

"It is getting darker." Narcissa observed with a thoughtful frown. She didn't think it was getting late but it seemed to be despite it all. "You look like no beggar I assure you. I wouldn't expect that from a Professor."

"I was merely making a point, James." Narcissa smiled. "The Black women are taught exactly how to please a man. It isn't an offer that you can take advantage of until I say it is and besides, what do you have to offer?"

Khaat pocketed the vial, knowing that this was all the cruciatus, but the voice of her beloved uncle was so strong in her head. She didn't have the ability to tell anyone about the curse because her uncle had always, always been right. what if he was just as right this time? She picked up his wand and apparated back downstairs at her place on the sofa again and conjured a fresh cup of tea for herself. She was going to force herself to try to stay alive, one moment at a time.

Jack walked up to the house still carrying the sack of blood in his jacket he knocked on the door he thought it would be rude to barge in.

At this point, Khaat was not sure about who else might be arriving, but they were certainly walking into a viper's den. She decided to go answer the door herself, muggle style. She went to the door, not knowing how much longer she would remain on her feet. To her surprise, it was Jack Uhler. Khaat stepped outside on the stoop and closed the door, "If you want to come in, you'll have to follow my lead, " she told him, "Can you pretend, for now, to be a suitor? I know its awkward, but its very dangerous in there right now. Trust nothing you see or hear."

"uh ok sure" he said "are you ok? you were not in the hospital wing" he asked.

Lucy walked up to the door of Khaats house seeing Khaat and Jack were on her door step and dicided to say to jack "hello again"

Khaat was surprised to see another student there. Wilson was not going to take this well. "I presume Archangel brought you too, "she said to her, "Well, come in, but say nothing, no matter what you see or hear. What you're doing is very, very dangerous indeed." She opened the door and went in, presuming her new friends were going to follow. "Well, Wilson and Narcissa, we have more company, it seems. And I refuse to let any of my friends stand in the cold."
