Meeting of the Wizengamot
Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Meeting of the Wizengamot Empty Meeting of the Wizengamot

Post by Guest Tue Nov 24, 2009 5:09 am

Hermione Granger didn't exactly like the ministry, but she loved work. It was where she did what she did best. When at work, she was a totally different person, all business. Where as at home she was nice and kind. Lately, she was worried by how the ministry were doing stuff, but she still needed to work here for pay and because of the Order. She sat down at a table at the meeting hall for the Wizengamot, waiting for the other members to arrive.

Meeting of the Wizengamot Empty Re: Meeting of the Wizengamot

Unfair, was it not, that Kingsley had once been the minister, the chief warlock, and now he was just a headmaster? Of course, it was what he wanted but he still felt like complaining about it. Now, the chief warlock was a woman, which had never happened before. After all, there were no female chief warlocks, they had to change their names. Perhaps, female chief warlockstress? Well whatever. "Evening, Granger," Shacklebolt said, sitting down at a seat.

Dae too was upset he was just a member and not chieef warlock, Fudge was both, why couldn't Dae do it also? Oh well Dae had dirt on all the members so he would still control them. Not that he really needed to control them, it was just nice to always have that option in case people were stupid. Dae took his normal seat and smiled at the two other people there. "Shacklebolt, Weasly nice to see you today."

"Hello Kingsley, Welcome Minister," Hermione said in polite tones, smiling at them. They were still waiting for another member or two, but these were the two people she wanted to talk to.

[its your meeting! make something up!]

Shacklebolt nodded in reply, looking out the window, missing Hogwarts. The ministry was ever so boring.

Meeting of the Wizengamot Empty Re: Meeting of the Wizengamot

Post by Khaat Lupin Tue Nov 24, 2009 11:56 pm

Khaat paused outside the courtroom, just outside the door. She took a deep breath to ease her anxiety. This was the first formal thing she was participating in, in many years, since she had decided she could no longer avoid the wizarding world altogether as a means of coping with the anger she felt at dark magic and how it had touched her family so very directly so many years ago. She had come to realize that distancing herself was not going to accomplish change, but rather, she had to follow, to an extent, to what her uncle had done. He had stood up to what he believed in, no matter the risk. She had resolved do put her emotions behind her and do the same. The Wizengamot was the first step on what she hoped was a journey to healing and hope not only for herself but for others that she loved. She laid her hand on the door handle, took another deep breath to try to summon up an air of confidence, opened the door , and stepped inside, silently hoping they were going to cover Wizengamot 101 at this meeting.

"Welcome Lupin," Hermione said, looking up to see Khaat enter the room. She would normally be nicer, but she was at work, and she wasn't ever very kind during meetings like this. 'Is everyone present then?"

Gabrielle walked into the courtroom though not with a clear purpose. She just considered her duty to be here since she was head of one of the deparments and felt like knowing what was going on in other departments. "Good Morning." she said as she just took one of the empty seats. She noticed that her distant cousin Hermione was in charge.
