Varod's New Apartment

"Um, the fact that it's over?" Varod said quietly and kissed her. "Cristina's in the guest room if you wanna go talk to her. I bought her some toys and some muggle stuff I thought she would like. Wanted to make her stay here as luxurious as possible...it's no mansion, but hey..."

"Um thanks." she said looking at the time. "She should be asleep." she continued to say. She really didn't respond to the kiss. Her voice had a coldness to it that didn't seem normal. She was a cold beauty that wasn't ready to talk about her loss. "Thank you for keeping her safe." she said.

Varod looked at the clock. "Um, sorry..." he muttered. Her coldness was making him anxious. Suddenly he wrapped his arms around her tight.
"I missed you," he whispered into her ear.

"Yeah." she said quietly in reply growing stiff as he wrapped his arms around her. She wasn't used to being alive without Godric around and wasn't aware of how to care about anything anymore though she didn't really show it about herself.

Varod held her tight even if she wouldn't hug back.
"Do you want to go find him?" he asked, correctly interpreting her coldness. He kissed her again. "I love you so much."

"No." she said stubbornly. She hadn't really mentioned where she had been. "Yeah you too." she said quietly as she pulled away from him. She made her way towards the room Cristina was sleeping in and opened the door moving quietly. You couldn't even hear her feet touch the floor as she made her way towards the bed and sat down on the edge brushing the little girl's hair out of her face.

Varod followed worriedly and leaned against the door frame. "Christy....we need to talk."
He saw Cristina waking up and went inside to kneel next to the bed.
"Heya," he said quietly but kindly. "Are you feeling okay?"
When she had fallen asleep she had complained of a stomach ache. The young girl nodded and smiled.

"About?" she asked looking at him. She was getting Cristina back to sleep since she had woken up when Varod came into the room. She kissed the girl on the forehead and got up closing the door after Varod had walked out as well. She made her way back into the living room. "Well?"

Varod sighed.
"Is it truly necessary to act this way even if he's gone? And where EXACTLY have you been?" he asked quietly. "I really truly missed you."
Goin soft? Anti teased.
Piss off, Varod shot back.

"Act like what?" she asked looking at him. She really hadn't understood why he was asking her that. She hadn't even known how long she had been gone either for that matter. The days and nights had tended to blur together as they normally did when she was no longer caring for anything. She knew the first thing she would need to do was to get herself back into school but there was still time for that yet and with Oded attempting for her affections as well before she left she knew she would have to see him and Varod would most likely follow her to see where she had been.

"I've been around," she said looking at him coldly. "Needed some time to myself."
