"Yeah, yeah, fine..." Varod muttered. Suddenly, he remembered his conversation with Samantha and quickly blocked her name from his mind so Christy wouldn't see.
"Uh, tell me about the CoL. A friend of mine is kind of a vampire, and I just heard about it. No I will not tell you who."

"The COL?" she asked looking at him, "I don't really know much about it other than its a group of people who are rumored to be backed by the minister that want werewolves and vampires extinct." she said looking confused as to why he would ask that so suddenly and without reason. "Why do you ask?" she asked curiously. "I don't really tend to hang around people like that. I mean everyone knows vampires and werewolves aren't exactly my favorite people in the world but I wouldn't wish death on anyone like that."

"Don't play dumb," Varod said, angrily. "I know you're in it, and very high-ranked at that."
He hit the table and stood up. "Would you kill me, too, if I were a vampire?!"
Yeah, she's not who you thought she was...

"I'm not playing dumb!" she exclaimed looking at him. "That is really all I know! I've been busy getting ready for the tournament and trying to patch things up with my cousin!" She looked at him and then closed her eyes and sighed, her face completely and utterly void of emotion. "You know how I feel about vampires. If it came down to it and you gave me a reason for me to kill you I don't think I could hesitate."

"Tell. Me. The. Truth." Varod said, fuming. "I already know it, I just want to hear it from you... Please don't lie to me..."
He wrapped her in a hug.
"Do you love me?"

"I do love you." she said looking at him, "But I'd rather see you fall on your own blade than become one of them." she said looking at him. She was so angry that she was perfectly calm in her voice and face but her entire body was shaking. "The fact that you think I'm lying to you when I'm not is just pathetic though to be honest. What reason would I have to lie to you?"

"You don't want me to know... I heard it straight from my friends mouth. I know the truth," Varod replied letting go of her and looking at her with a mixture of incredulity and disgust.
"What reason would I give you to kill me?"

"Who?" she asked looking at him. She couldn't figure out for the life of her why someone whom she probably never had attacked would want to make up such lies to her. "I should go. I've given you no reason to not trust me yet you believe a lie over the truth!" she exclaimed. "I shouldn't have come to Hogwarts. Maybe it would be best if I went back to Beauxbatons." she said now crying.

BiC: Varod stepped forward.
"Look, I absolutely positively know the truth. I have the information, but I'm willing to drop it... for now," he said, draping his arm over her. "You don't need to lie to me, I'd accept you either way..."

"No its the fact that I haven't done anything to get that kind of treatment or accusation and you know that!" she said pushing away from him. "You know me...At least I thought you did." she said still upset by it.
