Resting (Allana)

Sterling sat dazed as Allana walked away. He couldn't believe she left so quickly like that. "Allana! No! Wait!" he said, chasing after her after quickly getting to his feet.

Allana turned and looked back. She hid her smirk and looked at him. She shook her head when he caught up with her. "I really shouldn't"She said innocently. "You are to hurt! I couldn't possibly aid to that!"She said pinching her arm out of his site and her eyes started to water."She shook her head and crossed her arms. "Do you really want me? Or my body?!"She asked shaking her head as she turned around again, and grabbed his shoulders.

Sterling was shocked to hear her call him on it. "I don't know!" he said. "That's what I want to find out. When you asked me if I wanted it back there... I hesitated because I did, but I didn't know if I did for the right reasons. I need to be sure that I like you for you before I do anything!" he said, trying to make her understand.

Allana stared at him. Wow, how noble, it would be her pleasure to hurt him later. She moved closer and wrapped her arms around his middle, burying her face in his shoulder. She felt a small smirk cross her features, she needed to stop doing that, what if he caught her?! She hid it for a small sob. She made her hands shake as she moved away looking at him. Then, slowly and carefully, leaned in and kissed him, hard on the lips.

Sterling, temporarily free from the enchantment of perfume pulled himself away from the kiss. He put a flat palm between her lips and his. "Tell me about your family." he said shakily. His parents had always raised him to be respectful to women. He wanted to know this girl... to talk to her before he committed to anything.

He found himself staring at her below her face again. He shut his eyes tight and forced himself to look back up at her face, waiting for her account of her family.

Allana looked surprised, frowned and then smiled. "I don't have a family."She said softly. "I'm an orphan...I rule my own life."She said watching him carefully. "Erm..why?"She asked still frowning. His hand was still hovering over her lips. She smiled at him carefully her mind as confused as she looked. Why did he care about her family?

Sterling looked incredulously at her. "Why? I have to get to know you! I can't just rush into my..." he leaned closer and breathed "Desires.". He was grateful for the temporary stagnancy of her hair, so it didn't wash over him with the smell of flowers.

He placed a hand gently on her shoulder and asked, "How did your parents die?"

"Die?"She asked looking at him. "They didn't die..they left me on an orphanage step, with a note saying I was pureblood, and all my important papers."She said softly. "They just left me.."She said shaking her head looking at him. Get to know her? How noble! This guy was seriously getting on her nerves now. She would be happy to see the light die from his eyes one day. But no today, today she acted all surprised and innocent. "They must have hated children or something."She said softly her voice still much to high.

Sterling caught another whiff of Allana's perfume. "That's horrible," he said, suddenly caring so much less about it. He leaned into her again. The perfume intensified and he felt his face slacken again. He tried desperately to clear his head. "I'm sure... I'm sure they had a reasonable reason for leaving you, I'm sorry." he breathed as he started to snuggle up against the side of her.

Feeling him hug her, feeling him...care. Sickened Allana to the point of almost gagging. How could someone actually care for someone else? It was all about herself, and this kid annoyed her now. But she had to play along, the image of him dying was to strong to mess up now. "Oh I'm fine."She said after a moment of his hugging her. "I learned to accept that they left me, and I moved on."She said giving a smile. These words felt like they burned on their way out. In truth she hated their guts, and would one day find them and kill them. It wouldn't be her first kill. "Maybe one day I'll see them again and find out why they left me, but for now..life has to go on."She said smiling again and looking at him in the eyes. She could barf at her own words, she sounded like some ignorant blond who thought life was peachy because she had money.
