Twilight Time

Chase yelled out again the pain unbearable. She could barely sense that something was going on around her. Thomas had yelled something, and someone else was throwing spells around, but everything was blurry and the pain clouded her head. She screamed again unable to hold it back any longer. She felt her body twist in positions she didn't know was humanly possible, trying to relax the pain that just kept on coming. The girl was laughing and that's all she heard, the laughing of the girl in her ears. Tears streamed down Chase's face as her body tried everything it could to relieve the pain. Screaming wasn't helping, seeing as that's all she could do now. Her body felt so exhausted she wasn't quite sure which way was up anymore. But she kept twitching, unable to find a spot in which the pain subsided at all. She screamed again wishing it would just stop. Wishing she was dead instead of the pain she had to go through.

Hearing Chase in pain was something like a knife going through his heart, and yet he could do nothing about it. Then came the crazy boy from out of the woods, shouting out killing curses and all kinds of random spells. Even if his killing curse did hit, he doubted it was powerful enough to kill either of them. Yes he hated Nerezza right now, but he was nowhere near powerful enough to cast an effective killing curse, and frankly he was barking up the wrong tree fighting Nerezza and himself.

As soon as Nerezza turned to fight the other boy, Thomas quickly flicked his wand to create a shield charm around chase. Only Chase would know, and he doubted she would know it was from him. Turning around, he stared at Sterl and wondered what would make him do such a crazy act. He was clearly outnumbered in this situation, and Thomas's spellcasting and Nerezzas was way over his head. His only thought must be that he cared about Chase, and he must have really cared about her to come out screaming killing curses like that.

Trying to diffuse the situation with as minimal damage as possible, Thomas pointed his wand at a huge tree limb behind the boy. With a yank, the tree limb came flying off and was coming directly at the back of the boys head. With the oncoming spells from Nerezza, the boy found himself in a tight situation, and with Nerezzas insane personality, Thomas was not so sure he would make it out alive.

Sterling saw her point his wand at him, but he didn't care. He had to get to Chase. He kept running forward--and then and slice of pain attacked him. The curse sliced him from the top of his right shoulder down to his left hip. The curse touched several vital organs. He hardly felt it... merely sensing the injuries like a computer collecting information rather than a human feeling pain. His legs stopped working, and he fell to his knees just as a large tree branch sailed over his head. Blood dribbled from the corner of his mouth as it poured ceaselessly from his cursed wound. He felt his face flush.

He tried valiantly to get back to his feet, but fell forward, now on all fours, his arms were shaking furiously. With every ounce of strength in his body, he pointed his wand at Chase and said "Protego infinitum," before he slipped into unconsciousness, blood soaking the ground. He felt peaceful and relaxed... it would all be over soon...

Chase felt the pain stop. She squeezed her eyes shut unable to move. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion around her. Someone was shouting curses. Someone else was shouting something. She slowly opened her eyes and saw someone laying on the ground, and they looked dead. Blinking a few times she realized who it was. "Sterling!"She gasped out barely able to talk. Every movement made her body ache. Every natural twitch made her want to cry out in pain. She squeezed her eyes shut and moved her hand. It touched her wand. Gasping she grabbed it and found herself stumbling to her feet. "Don't touch him!"She said pointing her wand from first Thomas to the girl. "Please."She fell to her knees again.

That one stand had taken all of her strength away and she couldn't do it anymore. "Please..don't hurt him."She said feeling tears slide down her face. "I'd do anything." Her hands fell onto the ground in front of her unable to keep her body weight up anymore, she crumpled the pain from before making her body slow and unresponsive. She felt herself slowly get back up though her eyes on Thomas now. "Please."She pleaded. It was the only chance she had. She knew he was ok somewhere deep inside. He had to be! Everyone was! Even this girl behind her! Her mother even had a nice place. She turned to look at the other girl and then at Thomas again, directing her voice to him her body aching. "Let him go."She whimpered and her hands hit the ground again her body quivering.

Thomas watched as the boy was hit with the spells and he fell, blood coming from his mouth. Thomas could not help but smirk, thinking it was funny that the boy could so foolishly attack the both of them, but he was brought back to attention when Nerezza was behind Chase, threatening to do something to her. Thomas had to think frantically, and the only thing he could think of to do was attack her himself.

"Crucio!" He shouted with his wand pointed directly at the chest of Chase, with a huge grin on his face he looked at Nerezza "What, you thought I would let you have all the fun?" He grinned, but what he was doing was basically killing him on the inside, but maybe doing this would stop Nerezza. He was for certain it would.

Chase froze staring at the girl. Then she was behind her, her wand stuck into her back. She whimpered her eyes on Sterling. Then pain exploded in her chest. She screamed and fell to the ground away from the wand. She yelled out and curled into a ball, then uncurled her body searing. She was sure she had to be on fire. There was no other way to describe it. But the fire was inside of her now. She managed to open her eyes through all the pain and saw, swimming above her, was Thomas, his wand pointed directly at her. She yelled out and shut her eyes tight again. Only able to struggle out one word. "Why!" She screamed again and fell unable to control her body anymore then a sudden scream and her body flailing trying to find a spot where the pain would stop.

Thomas felt Nerezza press her lips to his, and he lost concentration and the spell ended, that ended as quickly as it started and Nerezza was already by the Ravenclaw, but Thomas took the time to answer the question Chase asked "Why? Why am I doing this? Because I hate you! You are a joke to the wizarding world! Not only are you weak, but you are a pureblood, you disgrace the rest of us." He was fuming, but his anger was fake, by this time Nerezza was by his side again asking for a turn, but he continued.

"I was fake that day, this is the real me. What you saw was a sick joke that I played on you, and the sooner you realize that, the better." He turned to face Nerezza and then with a move he did not expect, he grabbed her by the head and he gave her a deep kiss, before turning back to Chase. "Of course you can have a turn, but don't kill her. Only make her wish she was dead."
