Hanging Out and Possibly Studying (Darren)

"Dont you remember when Liz went into hiding a while ago." Zoe asked. "Oh it doesnt really matter anyway. But I have just wised up." She said continuing to play with her pencil. She just couldn't stand hurting those whom she called friends again. So she was trying. it was a lot harder than people realized.

"Hence the reason I stay as far as I possibly can from him." Zoe added rather quickly, in response to the comment about her mind. She knew this and it was the one thing that bothered her the most. She never did like people probing in her mind. That was the one place she could call her own.

"She went into hiding?" Darren repeated trying to remember. "When? And Why? You gave info to the Death Eaters about Liz?" He had known Liz quite well a while ago, they had been good friends, since then they hadn't really talked to teach other much. And now Darren just treated her like he treated most people. Anyways, it seemed very unzoe like to give information about her friend to people like the death Eaters. he really hoped she hadn't given any about him. "Thats good," he said, nodding.

"Yeah, thats a good idea," Darren agreed. "Dont you know any Occlumency though?" He, being an accomplished occlumens, hadn't needed to stay far from Voldemort, he was good enough to block Voldemort out of his mind.

"No I didn't tell them anything. They tried to force me. But surprisingly I was able to keep the information. Not sure why they couldn't get it. Was really weird. But when I saw and realized what they were doing, I stopped going around them. That was when it had been too much. No more." Zoe told Darren. It was something she couldn't really explain. No one really understood what went wrong. Maybe something was wrong with her head. There was no telling.

"Can't say I do." Zoe told him. "I have wanted to learn but don't know anyone who can teach me. Would that work. Would Occlumency really help me?" She wondered. Was that the link that was missing.

"Oh, ok" Darren said once she finished telling her little story. They had probably taken the information from her using leglimency, it was something a Death Eater would do.

"well.." Darren said, rather apprehensive. He could teach her of course, Darren was extremely good at Occlumens, good enough indeed to block Voldemort out. But he was still a bit nervous about teaching Zoe occlumens. For one thing, he could see into her memories, all of them. It wasn't pleasant. And if she managed to block him out, she could see into his memories. And he definitely didn't want that. "Well its not pleasant, learning Occlumency," he said slowly, remembering when his father taught him. He had headaches all the time afterward. "It requires lots of practice see, and you need a partner to practice with you who can use leglimency. So its not really private see.."

Zoe didn't like the fact that she had just admitted so much to Darren. She was somewhat embarrassed about how foolish she had been. But that was in the past and no matter what happened now. Nothing would change that. She had to push forward and forget it. Continuing to play with her bag she got really quiet.

Zoe thought on what Darren was telling her about Occlumency. Sounded hard and really uncomfortable. "Sounds hard. Not sure if I am ready for it. Not that there really is a choice to it anyway. Don't know anyone who would be willing to teach me. So guess it really doesn't matter." She said sadly. She couldn't really blame anyone. Her past was twisted and complicated. Who would in their right mind want to see into that. Who would want to have to deal with stuff she herself had issues with.
