Darren shrugged, that wasn't really true, he probably would have come with her. "Didn't realize it was such an emergency," he muttered, hoping Britney was OK. He didn't really care about her, but knew Gin would be really sad had something happened to her sister. "So why couldn't your mom take care of her?" he asked, continuing his interrogation.

This was normal by now but frowning once again, she hated that she had waited to tell him all of this. "Mom can't be found. Not at work, not a home, no where." she informed him, knowing that there was something to worry about and it was most likley her own fault. Ginevra had a weakness for caring about the ones she loved and using them to get to her was a great thing to do for the 'evil' people. Ginevra wasn't the type to care, she'd go before thinking about it anyday because the care and love for them would overcome her thoughts.

Darren frowned, that wasn't good. Again, he didn't really care for Gin's mother much either, but if she was missing Gin would probably go looking for her - which wasn't good at all. "Im sure she'll come up eventually, I bet shes just really busy at St.Mungos," Darren said, uncharacteristically optimistic. More people were getting injured these days after all.

Sitting down, Ginevra was starting to feel wozzy holding back the tears she knew wanted to come. She was such a stubborn child it wa unbelievable. "I checked, more than once." she told him, looking away and down at the ground. She wouldn't cry at the thought that she was dead somewhere, not in front of anyone and definitly not in front of him. She never broke down in front of everyone, she didn't like to look weak.

Darren sat down next to Gin, frowning. Sighing, telling him she had already checked made his optimism totally vanish. If Gin hadn't found her mother, there were only 2 possibilites - she was dead, or was captured by Death Eaters. He was sensible enough not to tell her that though. "She's fine im sure," he muttered, not so truthfully this time.

Darren was attempting to make things better but she didn't believe a word of it, not even for a second. Still staring at the ground as she started to fridget, this topic had to stop before looking weak came about her in tear form. "What did you get up to while I was gone?" she asked, curious and thinking. That was the only thing she wanted to know and cared about so it was a good thing to change the subject with - for her, at least.

"Nothing much, worrying about you, studying for NEWT's, going to classes - boring stuff," he answered shrugging, really glad she had changed the subject - he didn't want to see her sad. Sure, he was lying for the most part, he had barely been at Hogwarts too. But he felt no need in telling her anything about that.
