The Christmas Ball

Darren rolled his eyes, like he cared if she made fun of him, she never did anyways. He was quite sure she wouldn't drop it so he would just have to lie, he was horrible at it but anyways. "Actually I forgot what I even wanted to say in the worst place," he said, shrugging.

Ginevra couldn't believe he was going to attempt lying to her again. He sucked at it for one and he also always got furious at her when she did it. They were both hypocrites; what a fact. "Fine, lie to me if you want, but you only know i'll think up something way worse than you were going to mention." this much was true, she always had a way of thinking of cases way worse than the actual one.

Darren really needed to practice on his lying. The fact was, he never seemed to be able to lie well to Gin, to others he was quite good at it. Maybe it was just because Gin knew him so well - better than any other person. Sighing, he would never get used to her stubbornness, it was so annoying! "How many times do I have to say, it was nothing! Just forget about it for the love of God," he said, his tone really irritated now.

Jess tiptoed up behind Darren and grinned evily. "BOO!!!!!!!!" He screamed, grabbing him by the shoulders

(Danny walked into the large ballroom and looked around. He wore a black tuxedo and his hair seemed to have been cut down since his last visit to Hogwarts. He looked around and then sat on a chair near a table as he watched people dancing and having fun.)

"Oh Nick! You made it, I'm so happy!" Nikki smiled. She hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Ginevra was glad when Jess popped up behind Darren as she really wasn't in the mood for talking anymore. Muttering something like 'have fun,' she got up and swept back towards the punch table, not caring if Sue was there still or not. She had nothing more to say and knew if she stayed by Darren she'd only start to question him once more.

(Danny looked over to where Jess Darren and Gin were. Don't get involved he thought to himself repeatdly.)

Darren rolled his eyes and laughed, not scared or surprised at all. There was only one idiot who would do that. "Hey Jess.. again," he greeted. Darren was quite surprised to see him alone, Mari and Jess were like the perfect couple, and he was sure he'd seen Mari somewhere. "Where's Mari?" he asked curiously. Watching Gin get up and go away, he frowned slightly guiltily. Hey, it wasn't his fault she was so curious about everything, she wouldn't always get answers. In fact, he was quite glad she went away when she was being so annoying. Looking towards the door, he saw another person enter and smirked. "Look who it is," he called to Danny, chuckling.

Reaching over and getting some punch, Ginevra took a sip of it, calming down after a few breaths. Ginevra wasn't questioning him because she was curious after the first time, she had actually been doing it because she had been getting over-protective and worry-some about him. She had convinced herself in mere seconds that something was wrong, she still thought something was, but let it go - for now. Sighing, Ginevra took another seat, watching the people dance.
