One Big Happy Family

Eva’s eyes grew wide as she as Tyler asked if Bianca had a heart. She inwardly laughed at it. Even she had wondered that herself at times. She adjusted herself on his lap and looked at him, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Eva leaned her head on his shoulder, “I’m not sure, but I know she takes some getting used to.”

“Everyday?” she asked curiously. It then occurred to Eva that she and Tyler hadn’t ever really talked about what he did for a living. Of course she knew aurors chased down and caught the bad witches and wizards of the world, but she never really thought that it would be that dangerous. Of course she had never been so closely involved with someone that it could affect like that. “Or you just gave her a challenge.” She muttered holding on to him tighter.

“Well I like the bad boy side of you too.” She admitted. “And I don’t think I have a reason for you to run from you to someone else.” She was grateful that she didn’t have to look at him and she looked down at the ground beneath him. “Besides, who else will there be if I up and leave you? You’re the only one who isn’t afraid of being around me for extended periods of time.” She didn’t like this conversation, but she knew that it was going to happen one way or the other. She wanted to forget that this afternoon and the incident at diner hadn’t even happened.

Tyler chuckled. " WellI guess she'll just have to get use to me as well. " said Tyler smirking. " Although she might think me as a arrogant jack arse, but I don't care. " said Tyler honestly. " Like sitting and cuddling me or like the way I smell or is it both?"Tyler asked her smirking. " I don't mind, I like you close to me. " said Tyler softly but honestly wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her more on his lap. " You're so tiny. " said Tyler honestly before chuckling.

Tyler nodded. " Yup almost every day. " said Tyler honestly shrugging as if it wasn't no big deal. Tyler could tell her the basics but that was it, he couldn't tell her anymore than that. Tyler had a very serious job, there was a lot of times he gotten hurt and almost died. But that was part of the job, but Tyler was a careful person, he watched his back very closely. Tyler chuckled. " I think I gave her more than a challenge. " said Tyler honestly before chuckling.

Tyler chuckled. " Yeah that's because that side of me bring the wild and crazy out of you. " said Tyler honestly. Tyler shrugged. " I don't know, someone who's less of a douche than I am. " said Tyler softly. " Come on Eva, you're beautiful you're bound to have after you!"said Tyler honestly. " You know what, let's just drop and forget all about this and be happy ok? It's your birthday. " said Tyler softly before kissing her softly on the lips.

“It’ll be alright.” She replied laughing, “Bianca can be a raging b*tch.” Eva stopped herself. She had never really out right called her sister that before. She surprised herself even more at the fact she was laughing at it. She looked up at Tyler and then back at the ground. She wasn’t sure about her sister anymore, but she didn’t really want to say anything else on the matter. She would just let the subject drop.

“I am not tiny!” Eva exclaimed looking at him blushing. She knew he was just picking with her but it took her by surprise. She had never been told she was tiny before. She thought about it to herself. Well maybe compared to other girls she might be a little bit smaller than them, but she pushed it from her mind as she leaned back against him, stretching out her legs.

Eva could tell that Tyler really either didn’t want to talk about his job, or he couldn’t. She wasn’t quite sure. She knew it was best not to push it as he spoke. “Oh.” She said quietly. She bit her lip to keep from asking about it. She figured if he could tell her about it he would and if he couldn’t or didn’t want to he wouldn’t. There wasn’t a point in worrying about it in her mind. But she found herself worrying about it. What if something had happened to him? Then she found herself wondering why she was thinking like that.

“You think so?” she asked smiling a little as he told her that, that was what brought out the wild and crazy side of her. She found herself blushing again. What in the world is he doing that to me for, she thought to herself. She wasn’t used to being told she was beautiful and much less someone thinking that she should have boys lined up at her door to take her out on dates.

“I want to just be happy.” She said kissing him back. “You have anything in mind?” she asked curiously looking up at him.

Tyler raised his eyebrows at her as she cursed, he had never heard her curse before. " Oh... got a potty mouth on you Ms . DeLuca?"Tyler asked her smirking at her. " I think I'm starting to become a bad influence on you!"said Tyler jokingly. " I think I'm making a good girl go bad. " said Tyler smirking at her.

Tyler chuckled. " You should take that as a compliment. " said Tyler softly but honestly. " I don't care if you're tiny and short, I like you just the way you are. " said Tyler softly before kissing her softly on the lips. Of course Tyler was tall, he was six foot in height and getting taller. He didn't know how tall Eva was, but she was short to him. But Tyler thought it was adorable how she always had to look up at him.

Tyler frowned at her reply, he knew that she was wanted him to tell her more but he honestly couldn't. " I'm sorry I can't tell you much about what I do, just know nothing haunt down bad witches and wizards and throw them in Azkaban. " said Tyler softly. It was a bit more advanced then that, but that was all he could tell her. " If you're worried about me, don't I'll be ok I promise. " said Tyler softly but honestly before kissing the top of her head. " It'll b alright I promise, I'm not going anywhere. " said Tyler softly.

Tyler chuckled and nodded. " Yeah I honestly think so. " said Tyler honestly. " You're so adorable when you blush. " said Tyler smiling at her. " But you're beautiful Eva, don't let anyone tell you that your not. " said Tyler softly. " Weather you don't think you are, I'm here to remind you everyday that you are in my eyes. " said Tyler smiling at her.

" How about we go back inside and eat? I don't know about you but I'm hungry!"said Tyler honestly before chuckling. " After that maybe we can watch some movies or so. "said Tyler softly.

Eva climbed off of his lap, “Or was I just always that way and I just pretend to be all sweet and innocent.” She replied with a smirk. It was how it was in her family. She was the one who could get away with murder if the need be. She was the quiet one, the one no one expected to do anything wrong. It made it easy to get away with things in her family. “Let’s just say being the baby has its perks.” She said with a smirk.

Eva would probably get a little taller before it was all said and done with, but she figured she had probably already stopped growing by now. She was only stood flat footed at a mere five feet, four inches tall. Compared to her, Tyler was a giant. Not that she minded, because quite honestly she didn’t. She liked that he was taller than her. But then again so were most people. She was on the shorter end of the spectrum without being creepily short.

She smiled as he kissed her lips, kissing him back, “I still have to get used to it.” She said quietly. Eva wasn’t used to taking compliments. She had yet to receive a lot of them growing up, but the more she was around Tyler, the more she noticed she was getting them. “I’m not used to getting compliments, or really talking to many people. Ask Katie.”

She understood that he couldn’t tell her about his job. She quickly caught him making promises that she knew when it came down to it, he really couldn’t keep. There would always be a chance of him going out on his job and not coming back. It was the risk that came with the job. Chasing down the bad guys as her brother called it. She knew a bit more than she was letting on, but she didn’t want Tyler to know that her fear had reasoning. She remembered her mother’s father being an auror and one day not coming home. They never really had to explain what had happened. Eva knew deep down. It wasn’t long after that, her grandmother had passed away.

She shook off the shiver she felt trying to worm its way down her back and forced a smile before getting up off of him. “No one has ever told me I wasn’t.” she said looking at him, “But no one has really told me I was either.” She shrugged. “If you remind me or not is up to you.” She was blocking herself off a little bit. “That sounds like a good idea. I’m starved.” She added as she started to run back to the house. “Race you to the dinning room!”

Tyler chuckled. " Or...it could be that, I like to think it was the other way around. "said Tyler smirking at her. " Dang that's why I didn't get away with anything, it all makes sense now!"said Tyler jokingly. " Beisdes the oldest have it perks to, you got everything first. "said Tyler honestly. " But it always had it disadvantages as well. " said Tyler. " I was always the one who got in trouble first cause I was the oldest. " said Tyler honestly before sighing.

All of Tyler's were pretty tall, although he didn't know about his twin brothers seeing how he haven't seen them in years, but he remembered that they were. Although his mother was pretty short, Tyler inherited his father tallness. Which he was thankful at times, other times he wasn't, due to hitting his head when he walked into a place at times. Although Tyler liked Eva's height, he didn't like short girls but he didn't like tall either, just in the middle he guessed.

Tyler nodded and smiled. " After a while you'll get use to it. " said Tyler softly but honestly smiling at her. " I never really been complimented either, not in a respectful way. " said Tyler honestly. " I always been called sexy, hot and all that but never handsome or sweet. " said Tyler honestly. " I guess being a bad boy, you don't get called those things. " said Tyler shrugging.

Tyler's job was a tough job, and it wasn't for everyone who thinks being a Auror is easy and fun. It wasn't fun, it was nerve racking and scary at times! Sometimes you hope and pray that you'll make it out ok and alive. Tyler knew that he was making promises he couldn't keep to Eva, but he was going to try to keep his word. He was going to try to be careful for Eva and his family stakes.

Tyler sighed and shook his head, not saying anything to her as the wind rustled through his hair. " Hey! No cheating!"said Tyler chuckling before running after her. Finally catching up with her, he wrapped his arms and her and twirled her around before kissing her softly on the lips before running towards the house again laughing.

“Hey I have called you handsome before.” She said looking at him. “You can’t say I haven’t either because I said it in Italian and had to tell you what it was.” She laughed as she ran through the yard barefooted as Tyler called after her. Just as she threw a glance back in his direction he had already caught up with her. “Damn me and my short legs.” She cursed to herself as he picked her up and spun her around.

Eva giggled a little as he spun her around. “It’s not cheating.” She protested as he kissed her. “It’s me getting a handicapped for having such short legs!” she said as he started running towards the house again leaving her in the dust. She pushed off, thankful that she could run faster without shoes on than she could wearing any and caught up to him pretty fast before he had made it into the dining room.

Eva jumped on Tyler’s back before he got the chance to sit down. “There we’ll tie like this!” she exclaimed laughing. Everyone else had already finished eating and everyone’s plates but theirs had been taken out of the dining room and cleaned. The house was pretty quiet and Eva jumped off of his back and walked around. “I wonder where everyone is.” She said more to herself than to Tyler. It wasn’t like them to go somewhere without letting her know. But then again, they could have went somewhere thinking it was alright since Eva wouldn’t be alone.

She walked back into the dining room and looked at Tyler, “No one is home.” She stated. “No note either. I wonder where they went.” She looked alittle concerned and quickly pushed the expression off her face. “We should probably eat before it gets cold.” She added as she sat down at her spot.

Tyler laughed as she jumped on his back.  " Ok.  Fine,  we'll call it a tie!"said Tyler.  Seeing the house was quiet,  to quiet for his liking Tyler looked around.   He didn't hear anyone upstairs or around the place.  " Where is everyone?"Tyler asked her softly still looking around.  Tyler shifted nervously in his spot,  he was a bit nervous that he was alone in Eva's house with her.

Taking a seat beside her,  Tyler looked around the house once again.  " Erm... so... I guess your mum trusts you with me. " said Tyler softly.   " I mean why shouldn't she? Not like were going to do anything. "said Tyler honestly.   "Um...let's eat!"said Tyler honestly before digging into his plate.  " Wow I have to tell your mum that her spaghetti is delicious. " said Tyler.

" So... After we eat,  you still want to watch some movies?"Tyler asked her softly.  " We can do whatever you want to do. " said Tyler honestly.  " I mean after all, it is your day!"said Tyler smiling at her.  " Just tell me what you want to do and we'll do it. " said Tyler softly.  Looking down at his spaghetti he kept silent as he ate the rest of his spaghetti that was on his plate.   After a few minutes he was finished eating.  " Um...do I wash and put it up or leave it in the sink? I can wash it and put it up it's no problem. " said Tyler honestly.

Tyler wasn’t the only one unnerved by being alone in the house. Eva had never been left alone before. Not without being told at least. She was a little uneasy as she sat down. “I don’t know.” She said looking at Tyler, “It’s not like my mamma to just up and leave and not leave a note or anything like that.” She picked up her fork and took a bite of food.

“I guess so.” She said looking at Tyler. “Still not like them to leave me completely alone like that.” She added taking another bite. She normally liked her mother’s cooking but their conversation earlier and finding no one at home had her feeling like she had no appetite. She wasn’t used to being treated like this. “Even if we did I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t care in all honesty.”

She took another bite of food. “I’ll be sure to tell her.” She said about Ty liking her mother’s cooking, “Or you can tell her when they get back.” She quickly finished off her food. “Sure but you’re going to pick the movie.” She kinda just wanted to zone out and take a nap. She had had enough excitement in the past couple of weeks to last her for a moment and she just wanted to chill and unwind.

“Just give it to me.” She said taking the plate from him and walking it into the kitchen placing it in the sink. “Mum is pretty picky about how her dishes are cleaned. Even I get yelled at when I try to clean them.” She shrugged and moved towards the stairs. “So wanna go up to my room and pick a movie to watch?”

Tyler coughed on his water he was drinking as he heard Eva say that she wouldn't think that they would care if they did anything. After a few minutes of having a coughing fit he looked at Eva shocked. " A - are you sure about that?"Tyler asked her softly as he rubbed the back of his neck. " Heh. No not that we will do anything right?"Tyler asked her fiddling with his hands.

Clearing his throat, Tyler took another drink of his water avoiding making eye contact with her. " I'll tell her when she gets home. " said Tyler softly. "I'm sure she'll appreciate it if I told her myself. " said Tyler honestly. Tyler nodded. " W- why don't you pick it? It's your day!"said Tyler softly.

"G- Go inside your room alone me and you?"Tyler asked her nervously. " W- why don't we stay down here and watch a movie?"Tyler asked smiling sheepishly at her. "We'll be closer to the fridge and microwave if we want to make popcorn and get something to drink!"said Tyler. To be honest he was quite scared of what was going to happen once they were alone, he didn't want to do anything she didn't want to do.

Tyler was never this nervous before, Tyler wondered what the hell was making him act this way. " Oh what the hell, if something happens and she wants it let it happen!"Tyler thought to himself. " God this girl is making me feel and do things I never did before!"Tyler thought to himself.
