Lunch Time

"Could you stay awake during the game? or would you get to bored?" Cecilia asked raising an eyebrow at him. there was a shy yet sure smile on her face as she joked with him. The answer was sure to be yes but he didn't have to know that just yet. She could have some fun making him sweat a little wondering what she really meant. But, she was having too much fun playing mental mind games that she almost didn't realize he had complemented her on her giggle. She almost didn't notice how he had called her cute. yet the thought lingered in the back of her mind, 'how could anyone think she was cute in this state, or any for that matter?'

That was not what Nick wanted to hear. He started to get nervous and his hands started to sweat. "Well yes, of course I'd stay awake" was all he could manage past the lump in his throat. Nick had never felt like this before. He was sweating, had a lump in his throat, and felt like he could puke. What should he say? What should he do? Soon Nick had a thought that she was just messing with him, a thought that he soon dismissed.

With another giggle Cecilia's face lit up with excitement. Leaning in close she whispered in Nick's ear, "That was a yes silly." as she moved away from him anyone who really knew her could tell that she was genuinely happy for the first time since school had started. The smile she bore reflected in the way her eyes shined, it was almost as if her eyes were smiling snowing always showing the emotion she was truly feeling. The were no longer cold, dark, and sad as they had been just a little bit ago. As always everyone could read Cecilia’s every feeling and emotion just by looking at her face and eyes, like an open book.

"Oh, well now I feel embarrassed" he told her with a quiet laugh. As Nick looked at Cecilia she looked happy, but also tired. "You look tired" he said. And after he said that he took her hand in his and led her to her Common Room, which was right down the hall. "If your afraid that you'll get nightmares, I'll come in with you" he offered, rubbing her pregnant stomach afterwards.

"If only you could with out getting into trouble Mr. Gryffindor," Cecilia said the corners of her mouth drooping a little at the thought. "Thanks for the offer but that is something that cannot be risked. You need your education here." She gave him a half-hearted smile and leaned closer to him one more time to kiss him on the cheek. "Now go on to your common room or find your friends. I'll see you soon." With a step backwards she turned on her heels to face the portrait that hid the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room and answered its question that was always changing.
