Silvyr didn't answer her, so Jack was about to insist he tag himself out, get a quick cleaning of his lungs, and then let him free to continue on, but before she could do that, he had taken off running. "Silvyr!" Jack sighed, looking at James. "Four minutes. If I'm not out, we're in trouble."
She turned, muttering, "Someone here has to cover their ass," before running after him. He had gotten quite the head start, and as she reached the house, there was a groan and the roof sunk. She could hear a strangled yell, so she began circling the building, looking for a way in. Jack heard a howl and knew Silvyr was in deep trouble.
She wheeled around, seeing a window. She shrugged off her sweater and wrapped it around her arm. She threw her fist through the window and it shattered. She shimmied inside, cutting up her torso and legs a tad, but she dropped within the house. A burning began in her throat, like a thirst, and her eyes dried in the heat. She could feel the heat around her. She yanked out her wand and stepped forward, picking her way throught the flames and debris.
She spotted Silvyr, trapped amongst the fallen roof. "REPARO!" Jack commanded the roof. It slowly began to lift, the spell fighting against the flames. The spell would weaken as the flames strengthened, so she dove forward, grabbing Silvyr's arm and shoulder and heaving him from the danger. "SIlvyr! Grab my arm!" she yelled, her throat cracking as it begged for water. "C'mon!" she said, attempting to apparate them out of there.
