What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Post by Thaorson Kam Elldir Thu Oct 18, 2012 10:25 pm

Thaor began fighting the fire that had spread to near by buildings, one of them being his own shop. Damn, didn't think that one through. He thought to himself as he realized he lost everything inside it.

Thaor made his way back to the main fire and helped Robert battle it. It was much easier starting it, than it was battling it. Robert, I knew of no plans for this, I would have warned you. I hope you know that. Thaor said, turning his attention to the dark mark in the sky, he nonverbally made it vanish, and refocused on the fiendfyre, attempting to contain it's blaze.

Sophia was at home enjoying her day off playing with her kids upstairs in the family room. But her her happiness was all the sudden cut short as she seen a lion shaped patronus appear before her. "What a second that's Robert patronus!"said Sophia to herself remembering Robert's patronus quite well. "Mimi can you watch the kids for awhile? I got to take care of some business."said Sophia softly. "Of course Mistress Sophia, be safe."said Mimi in her squeaky voice. "Thankyou Mimi."said Sophia as she flicked her wand as her wand came towards her and she apparated out towards Sparks.

Horror filled Sophia's eyes at the sight that was before her, bodies were everywhere and the people who were alive were screaming for her life. Seeing Sparks on fire anger filled her eyes wandering who did this. "What the hell is going on here Robert?!? Sophia asked with a mixture of anger and shocked. Although Sophia had a feeling that the death eaters had something to do with this. "We need to contain this fire before it burns down all of Diagon Alley!"said Sophia.

Jack and Whight apparated to Sparks, and Jack looked around, trying to find someone she could speak to. There were enough there to help, but she could not stay. She released Whight and ran towards James, who was on the outskirts of a small group of people. Jack grabbed his arm, trying to get his attention.

"I assume you know about Khaat. Nemo Omara has been kidnapped too. Whight and I are going to look for him- I'll send help from the Ministry." She glanced at the Fiendfyre. "I'll be back as soon as I find out for sure about Nemo. Be careful, James." She gave him a bracing smile, hurrying back to Whight and offering her arm to apparate them away.

Whight appeared into what he perceived as chaos. The Death Eaters had been to work and Whight had to admit he was impressed. Bodies lay lifelessly on the ground and fire was taking over. Whight drew his wand in case the Death Eaters decided to attack again. He had invested too much time in the Order to let one of those fools blow his cover.

Jack seemed a bit panicked but she held it together. She ran to James and exchanged a few words and soon came back to Whight. As quickly as they arrived they were gone again. Whight was more concerned with assisting Jack. The aruors and Order members seemed to have most things under control.

Fiendfyre was often utterly deadly. Robert had not found a spell that just quickly put the rather sentient fire out. But cleary the dragon was still searching for Khaat. Brian had reported that Khaat had believed by the way the dragon had gone straight for her that it was targetting her. But if it could not find her, then she was definitely not here. He had never read that a fiendfyre could get stupid or lost.

Robert put his thoughts about his daughter behind him to tackle the emergency in front of him. There was no choice. He scanned around the area and saw stone. The stone foundation of Sparks was still standing despite the destruction in other ways. That was the answer. Stone.

"Stone!" he shouted to anyone who would respond to him. "Give me stone! Lots of stone!"

He began to transfigure some of the fallen, and considerably softer, red brick into stone. Rocks, he made bigger. Wood, he transfigured to stone. He was hoping that through the use of stone, they could work together to control the Fiendfyre. He took the stones he could find or quickly transfigure and began to use it to assemble, in effect, a massive box of sorts to contain the fiendfyre. His hope was that once assembled, the dragon would extinquish itself because its target was no longer possible.

At a sudden tug on his arm, James turned; annoyed, until he saw that it was Jack. She said something about Khaat, and Nemo having been kidnapped too.

"Too?" James thought to himself, a deep clenching knot forming in his stomach, "did that mean that Khaat had been kidnapped?"

James knew that Louise had been looking for someone, but he had not arrived in time to hear that Khaat had been missing. Before he could say anything, Jack was gone, but with a promise that she'd be back and that she'd send more from the Ministry.

A sudden shout for stone broke James from his stupor at Jack's sudden appearance, then disappearance. He hadn't time to wrap his head around all this new information, but first thing to deal with was the Fiendfyre. James could do stone, and once that was taken care of and the threat gone, there would be time to worry about Khaat and Nemo.

"One thing at a time..." James muttered bracingly to himself.

He turned his wand to the inanimate objects of the alley, pointing to bushes to transfigure them into stone, increasing the size of the stone rubble, and seeing what the Minister was trying to accomplish; James began to help form the stone prison around the Fiendfyre.

Post by Jess Potter Fri Oct 19, 2012 1:03 pm

A small 'pop' was all it took to announce that Jess Potter had deemed it suitable to return to the Wizarding World at large.

Sure, he'd met a friend or two in private, but since he'd come back, the basement at Grimmauld place had been about as far from his bedroom as he'd managed to travel (and yet, he still couldn't find that bottle of firewhiskey!) Heck, he doubted that even the Order knew he was back - he'd not attended any meetings, despite being only a few floors away from them.

Glancing around he took in the damage before quickly pointing at those Order members he knew and recognised. "Sophia," he yelled immediately, pointing at his long time friend. "You need to focus on the wounded. Get as many as you can to St. Mungos and help anyone you see needing immediate help. Get more healers to accompany you back and help you," he ordered her, scanning the alley for Matt, but being unable to see him through the smoke and flames.

However, what he did see unnerved him slightly. First off, he knew that Robert was on the site (how else would his patronus have arrived in Jess' study?) however he'd barely even known that Thaor was on the radar anymore, let alone fighting alongside them again. Secondly, fiendfyre... again... quite literally. The form of this particular spell was all too familiar. He'd seen it before, though he could not pick where. Why was it that people continued to teach that awful spell to one another. For the love of...

Anyway, he pointed his wand up at the fiery form and began to utter a series of counter-curses that had served him well in the past when fighting fiendfyre, his mind and lips moving out of synchronisation with one another as more and more spells came to mind, each aimed at lessening the power of the flame, if not to destroy it altogether.

The fact that people had shown up, AFTER him, made him happy. That he wasn't always the last one. But now, there was nothing to be happy about. Khaat had been kidnapped, and the streets of Diagon Alley were being massacred. First James showed up, and after making sure everyone was gone from there, he turned his attention back to James. "Sh*t got out of control, in a matter of seconds." Louis said, having his grip to his wand so hard, that he was afraid it would break the wood. Then Thaor had made the dark mark vanish, Louis hadn't realized the dark mark. But looked back a Thaor suspiciously, then dismissed it, and turned back to Robert and James, then Jack and Whight, who talked to James, then left. "Yeah, It is somewhat obvious. Khaat wouldn't just run away, not with her kids nearby. She was kidnapped by Death Eaters, sure of it. That's why the Dark Mark is in the sky, and that is why Diagon Alley is losing it's sh*t." Louis told his cousin.

As soon as Louis realized what Robert was doing, he decided to help, "ACCIO STONE!" He said, gaining all the stone he could, and assisting Robert. "I'll kill all the dying flames so there are no Ashwinders!" Louis exclaimed. The dying flames weren't as strong as Fiendfyre. He nonverbally casted Aguamenti over the dying flames. Then listened to Sophia talking, "Sophia, Robert is on that." Louis told her. Then turned back his focus into making the stone wall with Robert and James.

Robert didn't know where the thought had come from, but all of a sudden a revelation struck him as clear as crystal. His eyes grew wide, and he stopped transfiguring rubble into rock momentarily.

"Brian!" he bellowed, looking for his son in law. "Now!" Brian came running from a bit of a distance. Robert clutched Brian's jacket and looked directly into his eyes, speaking very deliberately. "They have made a mistake! As clever as they are, whoever they are, they have a flaw in their plan!" He drew Brian closer to him by his jacket and whispered in his ear. Brian's eyes grew wide, as Robert explained.

"Oh, God!" Brian said, looking at Robert.

"Go! Go! You know what to do," Robert ordered. Brian nodded and apparated out immediately. Robert turned back quickly to his work to build the containment for the fire dragon to try to snuff it out. Fire, even magical fire, generally needed oxygen to survive. Depriving it of that might well snuff it out. And, with the realization he'd just had, he now had some hope where, only a moment before, he wasn't sure how much hope there was left.

James shook his head wearily as he continued to assist in the containment of the fiendfyre. It was weakening, but far from extinguished.

"I had no idea she was even missing," James replied to Louis, "I had figured that she was getting her kids to safety. To hear that she has been kidnapped....and Nemo on top of it...I'd almost prefer an Ashwinder. At least they only last for an hour before dying. All we'd have to do is find the eggs and destroy them."

James noticed the pause in the Minister's wandwork, and watched the exchange between the minister and his son out of the corner of his eye; with great interest. Seems that they may now have a lead. James patiently continued his work on the stone wall, sure that all would be revealed in time.
