Kate whistled for Archangel and gave him instructions to get rid of any pests that didn't belong there. The bird seemed to be pleased to be given instructions to go hunting. He took off through the house as if he knew exactly where he was going.
"Did you make any particular plans for Christmas eve?" Brian asked them.
"The kitchen is making a special dinner tonight, and there is just one thing for each child to open tonight. Then they've made a special dessert, and Kate bought a new Christmas storybook for the kids for storytime before bed. I think it'll be fine," Kieran said.
"Sounds wonerful. Anything I can do to help?" Brian asked.
"Keep the kids from snooping?" Kieran laughed.
"They're two. They dont know to snoop yet. Lets not give them ideas," Brian said. "Khaat? Is there anything in particular you want to do?"
"Find out where I am?" she signed.
"Oh. Oh yeah. We can do that--but its a big, big place. We'll need to do that in stages or you'll get too tired." She nodded.
