Charms Class 3

Alice shifted in her seat and impatiently waited for the professor to come. She gazed across the room and chuckled at the students who were actually wearing their pajamas. She did receive the early memo before class but it all seemed too ridiculous for her to be true. Probably a student prank of some sort. And besides, she wouldn't be feel very comfortable in her night gown. Instead, she was wearing her white tights and favorite dark knee length skirt with a matching blouse.

The professor finally came in, and immediately the class giggled. He looked like he had a rough night. The fact that he mentioned a professor's ability to take jello shots did not help to his tardy appearance either. She followed the instructions and opened her Charm's book at page 45. She had some practice of the summoning charm last year in this class, but she was never quite good at it. Then, being a 3rd year, she had an excuse for her poor performance in that spell. But no there was no excuses. Starting simple, she tried her best to concentrate on an object near her. "Accio book!" she said as she waved her hand but the book simply jumped up and down a bit before returning to it's previous position.

Amelia had debating skipping class but she forced herself out of bed. She skipped breakfast again. She couldn’t eat even if she wanted to. Yeah, she was a bit depressed, but she didn’t know if it was really just her siblings being dead anymore for some reason she had a feeling it was about Chad. What did Chad have to do with anything? She stumbled around the hallway seeing things that weren’t there, stupid effects of potions she was taking. She knew she should eat but she didn’t have time so she found some flavoured beans and ate them.

She just wanted to get class started. She knew she would have to talk to the Professor about all the class she has missed. Oh fun, more boatloads of homework. She was drowning in homework. She almost wished she had stayed at Hogwarts instead of leaving for the Wake.

She wasn’t dressed in her normal nightwear since no one would like to see that. She just tied her hair up, wore slippers and a long shirt that belong to Edgar and Claire’s pink yoga pants. She looked ridiculous but what was anyone going to do about it.

Patronus charm? She loved the Patronus Charm. She opened her book but she was dying to cast the charm just to be filled with a memory of her brother. She had been casting the charm just to witness the memory lately.

Derry had made it on time to class, but he felt as bad as his Professor looked. Last night he only got a total of two hours of sleep. Derry had such a hyperactive personality that sleep was something he had always struggled with; he could never turn his mind off.

He got the memo about class and...wearing pyjamas? What the hell...? Anyway, Derry didn't own pyjamas per se: he wore his favorite Muggle band t-shirt and some plaid pants to sleep. It was just fine by him not to get dressed in the morning and - just because it sounded like he could get away with it - Derry didn't bother brushing his tangled, messy hair or wearing shoes. Derry arrived for class exactly the way he went to bed last night.

"Hey, don't forget to add some points to Hufflepuff! These are my pjs," he said to the Professor, standing up so everyone could admire his lovely attire. He wasn't about to start practicing his Patronus until he got his points.
