"That is correct Miss Macmillan, take ten points for Hufflepuff," Kingsley said, with a smile at the girl. Kingsley was good friends with her mother, Susan Bones, but this was the first time he was teaching her. Bones had definitely been quite good at Transfiguration, so Kingsley was quite surprised when he saw Amelia unable to open the box.
Looking around the class, Kingsley noticed that most students had successfully removed the pygmy puff from the box. He watched with interest as the first year, Aidan Willson, attempted to solve the puzzle. It took the boy a while, but when he finally opened the box Kingsley smiled at him. It was quite a feat for a first year. "Well done Mr.Willson," he said appreciatively.
That was when the commotion started.
Kingsley had expected something like this to happen sooner or later, but certainly not in the first class. He watched with a mix of anger and amusement as the children began to throw things at each other. He was unable to see who started it, but when things finally settled down, after several minutes of him shouting at the class, Kingsley only noticed Brian Sullivan wearing a big grin on his face. Everyone else looked innocent enough, and Miss Crewe was injured. He sighed and walked towards the students, wondering why on earth had he agreed to teach again this year.
"Detention Mr.Sullivan, I expect my Transfiguration students to be more serious than this," Kingsley scolded, on his way to Crewe. He examined her shoulder to see if it needed any emergency healing. "Calm down, it's not dislocated. But you should go up to the hospital wing anyway. Mr.Star, please accompany her," he said, nodding to the Slytherin, figuring this was something the head boy should do.
