"I don't want to disturb you any further, "Brian said, not liking to interrupt intimate moments when Jess needed Jack's support. "Stay in touch so we know when you both can come back." He walked off, deciding that the last thing they needed was his intrustion.
He ran into Robert in the hallway, coming from one floor to another, leaving his potions lab. "What brings you here?" Robert frowned.
"Laundry," Brain hoisted up the duffel bag. "Robert, Jess seems to think I ousted her. She didnt' say I but I saw it on her face."
"Jess is thinking a lot of things right now," Robert sighed. "She just needs some time and some rest. Make sure Khaat doesn't take it personally, would you?"
"Well, you're about a day late and a dollar short on that," Brian said.
"You have spent far too much time with Americans," Robert said. "I dont' even know what that means, except I'm too late for that."
"That's exactly it. I don't know how that saying got started either," Brian laughed. "Come see Khaat, would you?"
"Its on my list, my boy," Robert smiled. "And don't let her overdo that paperwork I sent home to her."
"No, I wont," Brian said, leaving.
