The lost angel

Jess looked at him and nodded but didn't say anything she didn't feel like it closing her eyes for a moment she found peace and sighed lightly looking off into space her thoughts starting to become clearer, "I didn't mean it, Robert I didn't want to hurt any one " she said as her tears fell from her eyes to the pillow beneath her.

She rolled to her back the soft voice ringing in her head calling for her to give in and give up and die, she breathed hard as she opened her eyes again "no I won't " she said softly " I will fight you won't make me hurt my friends again" she took a deep breath in the potion calming her once more of that she was glad of no powers meant she could not hurt any one.

"You didn't hurt anyone," Robert said. "Not yet, anyway. Stop putting things in your head that aren't true.Robert walked over to her and cast a spell on her, his hand on her forehead. It was, in effect, a banishing spell. It was designed to banish evil entities. He wove the spell carefully, taking his time, allowing it to gain in power and momentum before he fired it.

"Be gone," He said to the entity. He leveled his wand and fired it directly at Jess. It would remove the entity, but whether it stayed away was completely up to Jess. If she let go of it entirely, then it would leave and they would be able to see what the entity looked like. Then perhaps they would know what they were actually dealing with.

Jess felt her body tensing her back arched as the spell hit she felt it ball in her belly then move up her throat her head spun feeling as if she would pass out from lack of oxygen then with a cry a dark cloud rose from her mouth into the room hovering above her now still body it finally dissipated and she groaned softly.

"hurt, every where hurts " she said trying to move her had to her head but even that action hurt her body feeling empty but with a whole that slowly filled with a warm feeling slowly she turned her head and looked at Robert smiling slightly before she passed out.

Robert checked her briefly, made sure she was alright, surrounded her with a protection spell so that the entity could not return, and then left her to rest. The healer outside asked if Jess was alright.

"She's just fainted," Robert said. "She'll be fine. She needs some sleep now. There is nothing more I can do for the moment. I'll write an order for a pain potion and a sleeping potion if she needs it, but my bet is that she'll be fatigued enough that she'll sleep now. That's the best thing we can do for her is to let her rest. Notify me if there are any changes. Whatever got ahold of her has been banished. It can't come back to attack her again. It has to leave her alone now.

"Well, what was it?"

"Oh, who knows?" Robert shrugged. "There are a lot of dark energies that we don't understand and might never understand. Let her rest for now, and send me word of any changes."

"Thank you, Mr. Lupin," the healer said as Robert left the psych unit.

Jess lay sleeping finally her mind was calm she felt nothing and so slept soundly her calm as her mind she felt like a muggle with out her powers but understood why they had , slowly she felt herself pulled back to reality pain shifted threw her and she winced breathing hard but not moving even opening her eyes was a struggle , when she did the sun blinded her like she had woke from a long dark night mare that had been about her family , jack and her children but how did she come to be in the hospital with Robert standing over hr but the more the shout the more the pain increased and she stopped wondering and just accepted she was there. Slowly she rolled to her left seeing a plastic cup next to her she reached up drinking the water she knew potions had to have been added as it tasted sweet to her one done she let the empty cup fall as she looked around.

Jack hurried to the hospital hearing Jess was there he ran threw the corridor he knew the ward she was on held a spell to stop magic. he moved quickly to a desk where a young woman stood .

"Jess dark heart where is she , she was brought in a few hours ago " he asked his fear over ruling his control of his wear side as he stood he had to fight to stay in control of himself "Where's Robert lupin I need to see him , he'll know where my wife is " he said finally calming down a little as he stood , he paced back and forth was he waited the young woman now gone to find him , his mind now searching threw different scenarios of what could have happened to her for all he knew she was dead or permanently taken over buy what ever it had been.

He could not help his mind spinning but if she was alive he need not to change but to control his actions this to him as a test, he had to be strong now for her and their children.

OOC: I'm presuming this is the next day from when she was brought in. it would be far too awkward to go backwards with this now.

Hannah had been trying to take over for some of Khaat's duties since she had been out. What she could not handle she gave to Robert. And right at the moment, she was hearing another upset voice at the desk. Well, that wasn't unusual. That happened here a lot. She walked up to the desk to see Jack there.

"Jack," Hannah said. "Calm down. Jess is better today. She's in her room. Robert said she should go down to the fitness center at some time today and get some activity, but we just haven't had time to escort her down there. She's had her potion for the day, and breakfast. So, I was to tell you, if I saw you, that if you wanted, you could escort her to the fitness center in the basement yourself if you wanted and bring her back to her room. Its your choice. If it becomes too difficult for her, just bring her back upstairs. However, she shouldn't have a problem. Her potion is designed to take care of that."

jack looked at Hannah and sighed he now knew she was OK and waiting for him "OK can i see her ?" he asked now calmer as he was showed to the room she was in . for a moment he stood in the room not knowing what he should do or say then slowly he walked over to her sitting on the bed beside her . "Jess " he said softly as he looked down at her .

Jess heard some one come in to the room but Didn't move her heart beat fast as the familiar smell reached her his voice said her name and she slowly opened her eyes to see him , reaching up she wanted to touch his face , there it was warmth against her fingers as she touched his face . "I'm sorry" she said softly as a tear left her rolling down her cheek.

Jack heard her voice he pulled her into his arms and held her close "its OK Jess , I know you'll pull threw this " he said still holding her, caressing her hair . "They said you can use the fitness center in the basement if your up to it, I'll stay with you " he said to her just happy to be holding hr again in his arms "ow Jess you had me worried, I thought...I thought you'd gone " he helped her to stand up " a work out will do you some good " he said his arm around her as they walked to the door .

Khaat wasnt' coming into work, but she had agreed to try to do some paperwork at home. She just didn't feel like going in. That wasn't Khaat. Brian saw the distance she was protecting herself with only getting deeper and he wasn't sure he knew how to pull her out. He had thought a vacation would do it, but that hadn't done anything.

Angus had taken over trying to improve her spirits by treating her, in the gym, to a full body massage. Brian had felt safe in leaving her, and he had gone to her office and picked up a large leather messenger bag full of paperwork. Then he made his way downstairs to go to her locker in the gym to get her gym clothes and his to take them home to be washed.

He found Jack and Jess there, working out. He didn't want to interrupt them. He merely smiled, waved, and said hello and moved onto the lockers.

Jack looked up as Brain walked in and smiled glad to see a familiar face he nodded and said hello back continuing Jess's work out which was slow going since all she wanted to do was stay lost in her thoughts and depression. Jack sighed as he knelt in front of her looking up into her eyes "you have to snap out of this Jess " he said and took her hand he felt her sigh and turn to look at him one hand caressing his cheek and he took hold of it turning his head he kissed her palm lightly

Jess did her best but she grew tired quickly even though he pushed her to do more. she stopped and sat unmoving as she saw Brian her eyes welling up with tears as she sat , it was then she saw Jack the look in his eyes warming her heart even just a little, reaching down she touched his face hoping a spark would relight and she would be her self again but she remained as she was. she remembered Robert telling her she could not see Khaat, yet that was all she wanted to see for her self that they both were all right .
