The lost angel

Jess sat in a white room the part that was her body now restrained in a strait jacket on the floor sedated she could feel it her self a numbing feeling in her mind she had tried to cry out as Jack had left but could not she wanted to be angry but again she couldn't now alone she sat lost in the thoughts dark thoughts not her own. She was back in the room that dark room held by shackles her arms above her head. Some where in the darkness the drip of a tap came over and over.


She struggled against the shackles feeling pain that came from the movement. "I won't give in" she repeated her body feeling racked with pain . "Robert help me please " she whispered softly , a laugh filled the air around her.

" soul black as pitch, heart dark as night, it is too late, when she no longer fights, then and only then the curse begins a new!!" it came softly in the air growing but always repeating till she said it out loud.

bound on the floor her lips moved repeating the rhyme over and over.

Robert was frustrated. His hands were tied. What he was diagnosing was not at all what the other healers were saying was wrong with Jess. Robert did not see it as any mysterious entity or anything else. Not anymore. He had originally had considered that it might be the curse returned. But that wasn't what he was seeing. What he was seeing. He was seeing that she was having a dissociative episode of some sort that was making her relive the trauma. And at this point all he could do was to sedate her and allow her mind to rest.

And the other thing he had to do was to remove Jess from duty in the organization and to separate her and Khaat--indefinitely. And he didnt' know how anyone was going to cope with that. At this point, he didn't feel there was another choice.

He would have to put Jack on indefinite leave to care for his family. It was not what Jack was going to want to hear, but he needed to be a full time father now. Not working for the ministry or the organization either one. Robert didnt' see a choice.

Jess sat quiet closing her eyes thinking of her children their faces holding them why this had happened she didn't know all she knew was she didn't want to be here she wanted to be home in the arms of Jack but each time she though about it pain ran threw her body and she cried out but the voice did sound like hers . each time she wanted to say something she couldn't her seer ability flickered on and off backwards and forwards. Slowly she felt her self calm down her mind seeming to fall back in place what ever happened now slipping back into the depths of her mind she lay breathing hard on the floor , slowly her hair turned blond.

Robert had mixed a potion in his lab. It wasnt a cure, but he hoped it would help. He let himself into her room.

"Jessica," he called her with a commanding tone. "Look at me." He knew she could hear him and he needed her to respond. He needed her to take the potion in order to accomplish anything other than housing her and keeping her from harming herself or anyone else.

"Get up," he ordered her in a strong, unyielding tone. "Get up off my floor and come over here. I need you to take this if you ever hope to get out of here."

Jess heard Roberts voice an opened her eyes listening again as he spoke ordering her off the floor , slowly she rolled to sit up, breathing hard she forced her legs to holds her as she stood , her mind trying to force her to charge at him. her legs stiff and unyielding she closed her eyes forcing her feet to work . her eyes though still dark her hair blond .

Taking slow purposeful steps towards him she knew he would help her , but the closer she got the more tears flowed down her face .

"I've lost them ,haven't I" she said softly pausing in her steps toward him hr chest heaving like she was being held back by some unseen rope , soon she stood facing him her face wet with her tears but she could not look at him knowing what had happened .

"You haven't lost anything," he told her. "And how fast you get back to your life depends upon you and how well you can trust me enough to follow my instructions. Am I making myself clear? Now--first things first. This potion. Drink it. All of it. Don't expect it to taste good--it won't. But drink it anyway." Once the potion took effect, he would be able to release her from the straight jacket and take her out of the padded room and put her into a regular room. The potion was long lasting, and it would keep her under control. Minimize the damage she felt like she was suffering.

That still didn't change the fact that Jess had to do the work herself for her own healing. It only gave her the ability to do it. He held out the clear plastic glass to her.

Jess looked at the glass , moving closer she pressed her lips to it tasting the bitter liquid with in it she coughed slightly but drank it all slowly she felt it take affect and she began to think for her self and looked at him with her blue eyes .

"Khaat , how is she, I didn't hurt her , please say i didn't hurt her " she said her heart beat fast in her chest as she stood facing him " I didn't did I?" she asked again her head aching a little she took a deep breath in composing her self more.

"She doesnt know," Robert said, taking the glass back. "She and Brian thought it was an intruder, so Brian ordered her to portkey away to protect her. She's safe. But Brian hasn't told her there was no intruder. She'll be fine. She's a Lupin, after all. She's survived tougher than this. She'll be fine."

Robert did believe she would be alright. He believed, though, that Khaat would need time. She had to improve physically too, not just emotionally. Barker had done a lot of damage. And she needed time to get past it.

He took off the straight jacket. "Come with me," he told her quietly. He led her down the hall to another room a couple off doors down the hallway. It was not the padded cell she had had. It was a typical psychiatric room. He did not believe she needed the high security anymore.

"So you know, you have no magic here. It was bound when you were brought in," Robert told her. "Hospital policy." He believed she already knew that there was no apparating to or from this floor anyway, but he needed her to know that he didn't take her magic because of anything she had done.

Jess breathed out as the straight jacket was removed she moved her arms and fingers , looking at Robert as he opened the door to the padded cell she had been placed in. Watching him walk out she moved to the door stopping for a moment before taking a step out to follow him to another room , this one was bear but it had abed witch she sat down on quietly and looked at him.

" Good ,and I don't think i want to go anywhere " she lay down ans curled up laying quietly as she felt her tears roll down her face once again as she stared of f into space " why again?" she asked her eyes slowly looking up at Robert.
