What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Dead stars Empty Dead stars

Post by Miseria Lupin Tue Dec 21, 2010 7:25 pm

Holydays. She wasn't sure if she actually enjoyed them or not. Of course these were happy times, people were supposing to have happy thoughts, they were giving away presents, helping each other and being just happy. No worries.
But now, it all sounded to her like a muggle world thing. Magic-less people didn't know what was going on in England actually. What was going on in Hogwarts, they didn't know who and what were the Death Eaters, and they didn't know about Potter's Army or the Order. And they didn't have to. it was for their own safety.

Today, however, she didn't worry about those things. Atleast now she could just relax and walk around the Hogsmeade and buy some presents to her family. Wearing black as always, she didn't fit in much with the other humans who were on this street, looking for gifts. She never wanted to look like all of them. Although, they were pretty, and colorful, and whatever more, it would be the same as suicide for her if she'd start wearing skirts instead of her black jeans, and her pierced combat boots instead of high heels. Though, she wasn't wearing her lip piercing that much, she was considering putting it back on it's proper place. And she was also considering making her hair blue again. Not that she really wanted to look that different, but brown was already annoying her. It was too usual.

Sighing quietly, she finally woke up from her thoughs and looked arund. It was an alley where she was now. And she saw or heard no one around. Raising her eyebrows, she looked at the place, noticing few old abandoned houses not so far away. Humming quietly at herself, she started walking over there. Gifts can wait. She just had to check out the old houses.

OOC: Sorry for the lame post, Very Happy I had no ideas and my head is spinning. =3

Marla had been wandering Hogsmeade, a scowl on her face and a hooded cloak guarding her identity against anyone who may be looking for her. Probably not. She was fairly new as a Death Eater, though not at all new to hating society and the better half of humanity. What was she doing that might warrant suspicion. Looking for trouble, sos he found it best to hide her expression.

She saw a girl dresses in black pass her and Marla's eyes trailed her for awhile, noticing that the girl was completely alone. Quaint. Marla counted her steps and slowly stood, the cloak falling to her ankles. Her black boots got somewhat black as they became wet from the snow. Marla sucked her cheeks in and released the warm air from her lips, steaming the air in front of her.

The girl turned down an alley. All too perfect. Marla smirked and followed the girl, walking casually, hands stretching out to touch the sides of the walls, the trash cans, various things to show she was not following the girl, though her eye was trained intensely on the girl. She was approaching the end of the alley towards some abandoned buildings.

"Careful," Marla said in her twinkling voice, pulling the hood down from her hood and resting it on her shoulder and shaking her hair away from her head. She smiled a toxic, dangerous smile and tilted her head. "You never know what sort of trouble you may get in." She took a few steps forward.

Miseria approached the abandoned houses, and looked around. Strange but she didn't see anyone there. Not even some young students who would happily go and look around in the place. But she heard nothing. Not even some steps which actually came not too far from behind her. Maybe she was too busy looking at the buildings and thinking how old they may be. By the look, she'd say the houses were less then one hundred years old. She could see some things which quickly reminded her of the World War 1 or 2 which actually impressed her. This was the wizard village. They could easily protect themselves with their spells and not abandon the houses.

But she didn't question herself much about the past. It wasn't her business. So she walked closer to the first house, and walked through the broken door. Her eyes went through the old, green carpet under her feet at the walls, other rooms, and stairs. Everything seemed so gray over here. Everything was covered in dust, even the most hidden spots in this house.

Suddenly, when she heard a voice not far away from behind her, she turned around, and scowled a bit when she saw a young woman looking and talking at her. For a moment, she thought that this may even be a ghost which wouldn't impress her. The houses were abandoned and no one knew what happened here fifty years ago. But soon she realized that it was a human, and not one of those who she knew. “Nope,“ hufflepufflian simply replied, stepping away from the door in case the lady wanted to come in. Then Miseria turned her back at the Death Eater and walked towards the staircase. She didn't know about the older girl, but she had a plan – to look and discover the house. It was too interesting for her just to laeve it right now. “The trouble usually finds me so I'm already used to it.“

Sighing quietly, she took out her wand and whispered quickly Lumos to lighten her way in the dark house. Though, it was pretty light outside, she couldn't see a thing inside. Carefully, she stepped on the stair, hoping that it wouldn't break or anything.

Marla felt a smile unfurl on her face and she took threatening steps after the girl, who continued on into the house. Marla slipped in the house and closed the door behind them, quickly tapping the doorknob so that it locked. Was this girl cocky or ignorant? Or possibly a combination of the two? Either way, the girl would not be so carefree soon.

Marla had no interest for toying with the girl, acting as though she were on her side. She had no reason to pretend she was not going to hurt her, so may as well play up on the creepiness while she still had the chance, eh? She smirked and brushed the wall, creating a line in the dust and looking back up at the girl, who had slipped out her wand.

Marla pointed her wand at the staircase and while the girl whispered her silly little light charm, Marla said clearly, "Glisseo." The stairs immediately formed into a chute, causing the girl's foot to slip off of the staircase that was now a slide. "Girlie, where are your manners. You tried leaving before a proper introduction. I may be some crazy stranger." She smiled a devious grin.

Miseria didn't even look back when she heard the door close and then even locking it up. She raised her eyebrows and waited for an attack. Or there would be no reason for the girl to lock herself up with her if she wasn't a lesbian. She didn't make any other steps but stood on the stair, waiting for the strike which didn't came. She was surprised by the thing what the lady did. She transformed staircase into a chute, and she slipped down from it, but surprised by herself, she actually didn't fall on her knees. Impressed, she stood right there and turned around, facing the woman once again.

“And I may be a psychopathic murderer who is using a spell to cover up my trace and leave?“ She raised her eyebrows. No way she is going to introduce herself to a woman who was acting like... this. And it seemed that the bad luck actually found her. And just when the christmwas was approaching. She sighed quietly. So much for the peaceful holidays. “And you? Besides some crazy stranger?“ She found herself grinning at the death eater. Funny how she could play brave even though she could be staring at her own death. But like she mentioned – she was already too used to it. She stepped away from the chuted staircase, and walked towards the wall, calmly relying on it. It was better not to show fear.

Marla tipped her head back and laughed, rocking on her heels and holding her wand so it was still pointed at the girl's face, trained on the area of her forehead that concealed the pretty little grey matter. "Oh, please. Don't tempt me. It would be my lucky day if that were true. I would appreciate if you didn't get my hopes up like that, dear." She smiled her cheshire cat smile.

The girl asked who she was and she felt her smile widen as she raised the wand and rested it against her own forehead smiling. "Oh little old me? Darla Higgle." It was a little too easy to lie to strangers. Especially when it was just the smallest slip of her tongue. "Now, I said my name. What's yours, dearie? Tell me the truth. I know a liar when I see one." She smiled again, raising her wand and pointing it at the girl's face.

“Happy you love my jokes,“ Miseria said while the death eater was laughing. She looked at her wand, and said 'nox', so the light went off, leaving her in the darkness with a stranger. How... insecure of her. But that was even safer. In fact, if the lady would want to attack her, she'd see it faster this way, and she could easily escape. “Okay, Darla,“ she said in a quiet voice, looking up at the ceiling almost like she actually hoped that there would be something that would crash on the annoying Darla. “Really? I must say that I'm a pretty good liar.“

Then she looked back at the direction where she knew that death eater was. She has been lying now for months, maybe even for years just to make people believe. Good or bad, that didn't matter. Everything was good, just the way she wanted. Yes, she was quite manipulative now. For a Hufflepuff as a matter of fact. But that was the thing what actually helped her to survive. At the first time she was actually impressed how she could lie. People believed her. Professors did. Of course she didn't lie all the time. Miseria never wanted to live a lie and later confess all the things. That would ruin everything.

Marla's eyes flashed dangerously in the dark, as she let out a small growl, irked by the darkness that hid the girl. She paced back and forth quickly before deciding she was done toying with her food, it was time to eat. She pointed her wand at the girl and said, "Expelliarmus! Incarcerous!" She turned and found a light switch, flicking it on with a finger, bathing them in light.

"I think you should play my game. My game, my rules. First thing is first, tell me your name. Wouldn't want to piss off someone good, but if your just another little Mudblood then it's all fine and dandy. She hoped beyond what little hope she could understand that she was hitting a nerve with the girl. She loved to see the emotions on someone who had been offended. "Tell me or I'll make you talk." She again, lazily pointed her wand at the girl.

“Wow, someone got angry,“ Miseria pointed out, getting now ready for the strike. It was already Too usual. She always – ALWAYS – pissed off someone and that ended up with a duel. Usually, she was lucky. She got away quickly but now, since the staircase was slippy, there was no chance for her to escape. Unless she'd jump out of a window. Which was actually a great plan. No one would expect that even from her. But life was life and she had to hold on to it.
When the spells came at her, she was mostly impressed that they were basics not like Sectumsempra or Crucio. Probably the Death eater wanted to play with her, making her weaker this way. She protected herself with Protego charm, and looked at Darla with a scowl on her face.

“Oh, believe me, I don't want to have your dirty hands all over me so I will just Talk. Without your help. But I also can sing,“ she said in a happy voice, lowering her wand a little, but she was still ready for the attack. “Andrea Taylor. Hope you have heard of me and my Death Eater parents.“ A grin apeared on her face, however, she was surprised that she gave away Alice's last name. Taylor. She knew that her parents were on the bad side and soon, her best friend will be there was well. But it might even save her. For a little while.

Marla looked at her, cocking her head slightly at the name and eyes narrowing on the girl's face, trying to detect a lie. Taylor was a name of a fellow Death Eater but things were not adding up. The girl must have seen her cloak slip and show her Dark Mark, so if she was spawn of Death Eaters, she would have identified herself as such earlier, if she was smart anyway.

Still, best not to torture the kid of your colleagues this early in the game, right? Too bad Marla had little too lose. She shook her head and said, "Oh, dear... I hope you are telling the truth. For your own sake. Imperio!" Marla knew the girl was bound to dodge, so she sent silent Imperius spells to the girls left and right, ensuring that if she jumped to either side, she would get hit. "What is your real name, girl? My patience is wearing thin!"
