The Damage Done

Jack thought it over for a second. It was true. It could not wait until the school year began. Hell, she could not wait for the school year, either. After the battle, she felt...unsatisfied. As though her skills and her talent and her power, the little of it there was, had not been used to its fullest capabilities.

She glanced at the others, who had not said anything and she searched her mind, but she had not yet thought of anything properly suiting for those scum Death Eaters. And they needed to act as quickly as possible if they wanted to make a difference. If they could do it soon, after their victory when they were all celebrating, they would be less aware and it would be a bigger blow. "You have any ideas in mind?"

Andrew looked around and felt uneasy about what he was going to say, but knew he had to. "Maybe kidnap one of the Death Eaters family," he said grimly "they screwed with out families, so now let's return the favor. I know at least one Death Eater has a relative, and they should at least have some kind of connection with the person. Who knows, we may get lucky and get someone they love." It was a long shot, but he knew that if they successfully kidnapped one of the Death Eaters family members, then that would give them at least part of a bargaining chip. Maybe very little, but still a bargaining chip.

Jack at first reeled at the thought. Kidnapping. Then she fiercely agreed to the idea, an almost manic gleam in her eye as she nodded ferociously, thinking that the Death Eaters deserved nothing less. "That is just perfect. Who do you have in mind?" But really, it did not matter to her...

Then her craziness diminished a little. What if this person was nothing like their evil parents, just had a terrible family like Jack did. She would hate to be punished for the sins of her parents. Now it did matter who it was. If it were a prat who planned to join up with the Death Eaters then she didn't care...If it were...Well, she could bring that up when she knew who it was.

"Majere," he said silently, having to restrain himself from punching the nearby wall even after saying his name "I've heard rumors that he has a family member, and even as dark as heart as he is now, he was still born neutral and has had memories. Some had to be at least good." He leaned against the wall, and felt his blood flow slowly now. What he had considered scared himself. War never changed. And this was a fierce war that needed to be ended with a big bang. Andrew would light the match to ignite the rocket if needed be to end it.

Jack stared at him, wondering who could possibly be related to that monster. She felt her heartbeat quicken at the thought of actually executing what they were discussing. She knew she would definitely do anything in her power to do whatever needed to be done, yet it was still crazy to think about what she was doing.

She tried to remember what it felt like when she found out she would be joining the magical community back when she was eleven. She would never had thought she would get roped into a magical war. It hadn't seemed like bad things could happen where she was going.

And here she was, plotting a kidnapping. Shaking herself out of her thoughts, she asked Andrew, "Do you have any idea who they are?"

Lous was glad Andrew had tooken him seriously. "So Majere has a family then. Why do we have a headmaster that wants to kill us." Louis said madly. "Well im gonna try something new..." Louis said. He got out his wand and pointed at the manuiquin. "Expecto Patronum" He said and a huge blue eagle came and the manuiquin turned vert tiny. "Does anyone like that" Louis smiled. Come on Sophia were are you He thought.

"No freakin' idea," he said honestly as he looked back towards the ground "All I know is that he has a relative and that's it. If we can kidnap someone like that andhad Majere on his knees, we'd be heroes to the entire school. But that's just future thinking, for now we need plans to get our numbers rising." He sat down onto the ground and put his head in his palm. Everything was wrong. The story was to end in a way that the heroes won. Now it was mixed up and they had to rewrite it.

He looked over to Louis and said "He's a death eater and he hates muggle borns and anyone who defends them. He's just another murderer but with friends and a leader that actually had the guts to do anything. This is getting scary to be honest."

Jack nodded carefully at Andrew's words, for the first time wondering how it was she had even managed to survive so far. She was a muggleborn living in a school that was run by a Death Eater. For one of the first times, second thoughts ran across her mind...But they were short-lived and she quickly squashed them.

She saw how affected Andrew was and she sat across from him and said in a strong voice, "This will work. It's all a matter of planning and actually getting our plans done. These people here...we are the ones that follow through. We went to the battle, while others didn't, Order and PA alike." She nodded. "We can do this. Hell, we will do this."

Andrew chuckled at the optimisim. He wished he had the same thing, yet didn't have it at the moment. "I guess," he said shaking his head "so many things are going wrong I just can't believe it. We're only students for gods sake!" He still shivered because of the adrenaline and his new fround fear. If they couldn't turn to the order, who could they fight with? So far, the only known factions now were just PA and the Death Eaters. The ministry was corrupted in many ways, but didn't know their alligance.

Jack nodded, determined to give their leader some of her forced optimism. She had learned long ago that if she wasn't optimistic when everyone else wasn't, nothing would get done. "Yeah, we're just students and we just survived a battle with grown Death Eaters, who have picked off regular adults like flies."

She held back a shudder. Saying it made her realize just how close to death she had just been not long ago. "Obviously, we are meant to survive. We can hold our own and it's about bloody time we proved it to everyone else. Hell, if we don't do it, who will? The Order hasn't been doing too well and we can't expect everyone to be so noble."

She knew just how hard this kidnapping plan was going to be, but she knew that they could do it. The first step was to do some detective work... She looked back up at Andrew and nodded earnestly. "We can do this."
