Ronata's room at the walker farm

Ronata sighed as she heard Khaat speack knowing she was right but when she mentioned it was like a good win she knew exactly what she ment "you mean like a good painting has layers each has to wait a little before biulding" she said with a smile as she passed her a dyper for abby "I didn't know he had sons , we haven't realy had much time to talk , I fell asleep straight away last night, as did he.. in a chair" she said chuckaling "but I'd like to meet them though "

" As I said, they're good boys. They're first years. Well, they just finished their first year. John is, I believe, a year younger than Andrew, or part of a year. Andrew started in fall term, and somehow Steven got John in, in the middle of the school year when he turned 11. I don't know what strings he pulled to do that, but back in our day, kids had to wait until fall term to start. He must have some connections or something. Both boys are just starting to develop their magic, although, I do know Andrew already talks fluently to animals. Andrew is the adopted boy. He had a very abusive childhood. Steven befriended him and started taking care of him, about as much as Andrew would let him. Andrew has an independent streak because he raised himself. He's gotten through the world through living in pubs when his father was alive, and pickpocketting small change for food when he was hungry. As I understand it, his head of house at Hogwarts has taken a shine to him. And that's quite an accomplishment. Professor James Wilson is a very difficult man to get to know at best. Anyway, Steven and John softened Andrew up and Steven took on his guardianship so Andrew could avoid being kicked out of Hogwarts for being an orphan. Honestly, I think Andrew trusts Steven so far and then not a lot more. Adults have never been good to him before. But his relationship with John is a different matter. I think, since John is his age, Andrew trusts him."

Steven passed by a door over hearing Khaat talking about andrew and John slowly he pushed open the door and lent on the door frame " yes and both are a hand full when home" he said softly he was confused at why Ronata would ask Khaat about his sons and not him "Ro those boys are my life since Johns mother died , if you wanted to know about them please don't be afraid to ask me" he said looking at Khaat and smiling at her to show he was not angry but happy she had asked about them "Johns mother died in a dragon attack where i was put in a coma and andrew taken by... lets just say they wern't nice men, but thanks to khaat i got him and my life back " he said smiling "I owe them a lot"

"I was just glad to help," Khaat smiled. "I think friendship goes both ways. He's helped me, so if I can return the favor, I"m good with that. So tell me about yourself. What about your friends and family? I know so very little about you. What do you do for fun?" Khaat didn't know if they had much of anything in common, but since Ronata's attentions were solely on Steven, it almost didn't much matter. She figured she would, for the most part, have to wait til the newness of romance wore off before Ronata or Steven either one could refocus again.

Ronata looked at Khaat and nodded "sorry yes, I grew up in Romania on a farm. Both my parents taught me the ways of the land that I lived in. From the moment I could walk, they showed me how to plant crops and feed the animals but no matter how hard I tried I could not make crops grow like my parents, but they said each person has a talent. Mine seemed to be for tending animals which is what I did, tending them and helping with the birth of the calves and foals.In school I was well liked even for a Half blood. Though I did have some magic, it was not strong nor developed. My favorite classes were potions and charms for obvious reasons. My worst was defense against the dark arts and it continued to be through my school years. I was constantly teased about my status but I never once let that get me down and so I went through with high marks. I returned to my familys farm took over, while my father was ill, suffering from an illness and pneumonia. He did not recover but subsequently died. Leaving me and my mother heartbroken. Mother sold the farm and moved us to a small inner city home. But I could not settle and left to work on a ranch, I left that to seek a life back where I started in Hogwarts. and that is my life" she said looking at both of them "its not much but is me, I like riding, swiming tending to animals and shooting but only on privet land , I never hit anything though , I don't like Anybody who puts magic down or use's it unwisely, Child users or abusers and Snakes I was bitten by one as a child" now she stood biting her lip as she waited more for steven and Khaat to say somthing.

"Well, I think you already know about me. So, I don't think I have much more to tell. I think I will go fix us some lunch. You're welcome to come if you like. Jack brought a big chef salad for lunch, and that will help. I think I'll add some toasted crostinis and a tomato carpaccio for on top of those. I like crunchy bread with my salads. And I believe Daddy sent us some fresh citrus iced tea. I'll throw some chocolate shortbread cookies together. Those only take a moment." She tied the sarong around herself and went into the kitchen. She began working on the cookies first so they had time to bake. From there she cut a baguette into crostinis and baked them and made a carpacchio out of fresh tomatos, onions, garlic and herbs, with a vinegar and oil dressing. She double checked on the iced tea, and then melted some dark chocolate to dip the chocolate shortbread cookies in. It was starting to smell incredibly good in the kitchen.

She was soon plating up salads, crostinis, cookies and iced tea for them all. "Would you call the boys for lunch, please?" she asked Ronata, smiling, sending the dishes to the table.

she nodded and smiled relived that things hadn't changed between them she looked at Steven who smiled at her she looked puzzled as she passed him in the doorway but chuckled as he whistled loking up and away from her asshe pased under him but close enouph she brushed his chest with her shoulder as she moved to the living room with him following "Brian, masa de prânz Jack este gata, I mean Brian, Jack lunch is ready" She said slipping into her native tounge now that she felt comfortable around them . she moved to the kitchen section and watched "is there anything I can help with?" she asked

"Um, perhaps you could put ice in the glasses and pour the iced tea? It has slices of lemon and orange and lime in it, so you might want to make sure everyone gets some fruit in their glasses. And, please, make sure the silverware didn't get itself mixed up again. Sometimes they get all confused and tangled up instead of sorting themselves out. " She garnished the salads with large thin shavings of fresh parmesan chees and sent the large salad bowls to the table along with the salad dressing. Then she put the crunchy flavorful crostinis on a large serving platter and sent them to the table. She watched Steven and Brian coming in to the table as she plated the still warm cookies that were dipped in chocolate and sent the large plate of fabulously smelling chocolate shortbread to the table. "Is there anything else we need?" Khaat said.

Ronata did as she was asked a then took out salad tongs placing them next to the bowl , opening the draw she saw it was mixed up just as Khaat had said , with a wave of her hand all the knives , forks and spoons moved into the respective draws now tidy she looked at Khaat to see if she had noticed glad she had not. handing brain his glass she turned to steven handing him his with a smile. She took his hand in hers and placed the glass in it as if giving his something preshiose her hand resting against his for a moment .

Khaat sat down and added an asian sesame dressing to her own salad, and took a forkful. Jess's salad was very good. She saw Brian do the same. "It's really good, "he said, contented at having a light and healthy lunch. "So what do you have planned for the afternoon?"

"Well, if we're going to go to Tuscany, I think Ronata and I should go shopping in London to buy some summer clothes. "

"Well, buy clothes for warm days, cool nights, and time at both the beach and the country," Brian said. "We're going to do it all."

"That sounds perfectly wonderful to me," she smiled. "Ronata, are you interested in going shopping with me?"
