Khaat felt that familiar old tingle that she always felt when Rob was near as she spoke to Vincent. That bloody bond she had with him was going off so strongly it gave her goosebumps under the long, elegantly tailored sleeve of her green silk dress. It unnerved her. He was here. She was positive. And if he was here, then so was Jen. The way she figured it, Jen would have orchestrated a breakout, and would have refused to leave Rob behind. Rob would not have started a breakout. He wasn't as skilled as she was in those matters, and, frankly, Khaat didn't see him being that ambitious about anything that didn't directly tie to money. Her thoughts went for a moment to how angry she was with him and how many evil things she wanted to do to him. Jen was another matter. She had no ill will towards her.
Suddenly there was Eli in front of her, and two adults introducing themselves as his parents. She looked at the woman and then at Viktor. The moment her eyes met his, she knew it was Rob. So that meant the woman was Jen. This was a new low for them. Kidnapping a minor. She looked at them both to let them know she knew exactly who they were. For a brief moment, she had thoughts of blowing the whistle on both of them. Vincent still had the best auror skills of anybody she knew, and she felt sure he could more than handle them both, easily. However, obviously Fauve was being used as the reason for Eli's silence, and Khaat would not risk any chance of harm to Eli's beautiful little girl.
"So nice to meet you, Mrs. Krum," she said. "And Viktor. I haven't seen you in a long time. It seems like years. Good to see you again. My husband, Mrs. Krum? It feels like he's always with me," she smiled sweetly. She clutched Eli's arm hard and snatched him away from Jen. "Pardon me, Vincent. I'll be right back. There's more room for us over here, Eli." She put herself between Eli and Jen and moved him over to an empty section of Gryffindor tables and sat down, pulling him down on the end seat so it would force Rob and Jen to either sit across from them or next to her.
