When a vampire visits, Death does to (subpart 2)

Ne'Os apeared in the atrium of st mungoes with a loud crack. A few people screamed as they saw him. Others froze. And others took out there wands waiting. Ne'Os Simple ignored them and walked to Khaats office where he gentley knocked on the door and waited. He had two objectives get the rones of deaths hand which he knew had not been destroyed since he could call its protective power. And aquire another signature. He was visiting the most powerfull witches and wizards he could Each powerfull in a difrrent way. A witch who had the power of polotics another witch who had the power to cause good. and a wizard who had the power to destroy the magical world. and then finally his own. It had been added into the spell so he would keep the power he aqquired even when his plan was finished he would have the power to invade a reacently killed human's mind and regenerate the cells in his body to reanimate the body. the last bit power will call the elder wand and the robes of deaths hand back to him.

Robert had brought Khaat here to find an antidote to the potion she had been given when security had been breached and an enemy of Rob Dents had penetrated Robert's safehouse for Khaat and had attempted to harm her to bilk money out of the remaining funds Rob had left behind. It had not worked, but Khaat still was feeling sick and almost as weak as she had when she'd had her child a couple weeks before and had nearly died in the process.

Robert had rescued her and had left her resting in her office while he'd gone to seek out the antidote for the evil potion that had scrambled her energy signature terribly and nearly rendered her without any magic whatsoever. He had promised he would not be long.

Khaat heard the knock on the door. She frowned. Surely, he could not be back with the antidote already. She called with as much force as she had left, "Come in."

Ne'Os opened the door and walked in he imediatly could sense she was weak "where are my robes?" he asked simple slightly wondering what was wrong with her. As much as he hated it he had a soft spot for Khaat.

"Ne'Os," she smiled slightly, unable and unwilling to stir up a fight. "I hid the robes like you asked me to. They are not here. Are you really sure you want them back? They were so toxic for you before. That's why we hid them, if you recall." She realized that she neither looked or sounded her best, and she could see it on his face.

"I guess I've looked better, haven't I?" she said, motioning him to sit if he wanted, "It seems my loving husband and his sister have turned out to be enough of a criminal that they both are on their way to a life sentence in Azkaban, and it seems like Rob was--even before I married him. He lied to me about everything that he said he was. Well, it seems it took a toll on me bigger than I could ever have expected. It caused the premature labor and birth of my daughter very recently, and that in itself nearly killed me. It took all the energy I had. That's the short version of it.

"Now I'm hunted everywhere I go. I'm hunted by the wizarding press wanting a big juicy gossip scoop. I'm chased by people who believe I don't deserve to have this job or the Chief Warlock job because of Rob and because of what they believe I knew about him--believing I am just another corrupt wizarding official, and I'm chased by Rob's enemies who want the money Rob left behind. That's why I'm here today. One of Rob's old enemies claimed Rob owed him money, and broke into the place I'm staying and decided to force me to give me the cash--which I do not have. Anyway, he used an imperius curse and forced me to take a potion that took nearly all the life energies I had left, and what little I do have are scrambled so badly because of this potion, I don't think I could accio a pen off my desk. So, if you want to kill me, now's the time to do it, because I cannot fight you back.

"If you truly want those robes back, you'll have to give me time to either recover enough to go get them or to send for them. They are not anywhere near here, and believe me, in my position, it serves no purpose for me to lie to you."

Ne'OS Sat as he listend to her story "Im so sorry Khaat i truley am i know you think im a monster but as much as i try i cannot be cruel to you" he said "All i need is a location ill send one of my people for them" he said "Is there anything i can do to help? i can pay this man who harmed you a visit or i can give you the money to pay him back. i could also maybe do my best at a antidote for his potion if i knew what it was" he said wanting to help her.

"Thank you," she smiled. "I appreciate it, but I can send someone to get the robes. There's only one person I would trust to go get them. My father. He's here, working on an antidote. He seems to have a very good idea of what this potion was that I was given. As for the man who breeched the safehouse to get to me, my father tells me he's dead now. But I am quite sure he will not be the last of that lot. The next ones will find security much improved, I'm guessing. Rob, I'm finding, did not have many friends, and what he did have, have all abandoned him now because of who he really turned out to be. Boy, I can really pick 'em, can't I? Well, at least my daughter and I won't have to live with the stigma of what the Dent name will turn out to be. Our names have both been changed back to Lupin--not that the Lupin name doesn't carry its own stigma. But at least I'm used to what that name brings to my life.

Then Khaat smiled and said softly, "Her name is Abbey. She was almost exactly three and a half pounds when she was born--a little over 2 months premature. She's gorgeous, Ne'Os. At least Rob did that right. I'm putting my attentions right now on protecting her so that no one gets to her for any reason whatsoever. But I know you'd do the same for your child."

Robert's bond to Khaat was just too strong to leave her for very long, and he didn't like the vibrations he felt around her. He apparated back to her office and saw Ne'Os there. He looked at Khaat suspiciously.

"It's alright, Daddy," Khaat said, "We're fine. I need you to do me a favor. Do you remember the robes I hid?"

"Yes," he said quietly.

"Please--go and get them for me at once. I'll be fine," she said.

"You're sure?" he asked.

"Positive."

"Very well. I shall return in a few minutes." With that he apparated out.

Khaat looked back at Ne'Os. "He's the only other person who knew where they were--the only other person I trusted to help me find the most secure hiding place I could find," she explained, "He won't be long. He won't leave me very long at all, for that whole multitude of reasons I told you about earlier."

"Nothing that I know of at the moment," she said, "Thank you. I do appreciate it. Daddy is hiring me a bodyguard, and that should help for awhile. Ne'Os, I doubt very much that you came here just for the robes. What's going on? You seem to be gathering pieces together for something. I know we've had our differences, but I really don't want to see harm come to you either. Is there anything I can do to help you? What else did you want? Tell me. You don't normally come to see me unless you're in trouble. And I do wish that I could see you as purely evil, but I never have, and I doubt I ever will."

Ne'Os took out the book of Xaho and used his telekenisis to float it infront of Khaat "I found this tome that describes a family that holds much in the way of power...power thati can one day inherit" he said the tome opened to a page that described the Emof Family being slaves to the Xaho family long ago "In order for me to ascend to this place of power i need three signatures that hold great power...and then i will have to die thats why i dont have the elder wand. So if Matt apears and kills me suddenly i can restart without losing anything" he said "My purpose for coming here was to get you to sign your magic to me for that short time and get my robes back...but since your virtualy powerless i guess im just here for my robes" he said wondering where he could get the signature from.

Khaat gave his words careful thought. "How long would I be without my magic, then?" she asked. "And--do I need to ask what you would use that power for? I am not interested in being part of what gives you more power to kill more people. However, as I said, I am not necessarily interested in seeing you die either. I am, after everything else, a healer. Preservation of life is important to me. "

Her thoughts were that if her father found the antidote, it would unscramble her signature. It would not restore her to her full power, but it would help somewhat, she presumed. They would not know until they tried it.

"The only one who would have any idea about whether I can honestly be of any help to you or not just went to get your robes," she said. "We can ask him when he returns."
