Escape to Brian Quinn's

Khaat wanted to go for a walk and see a bit of the grounds. When she finished her lunch, Brian took the dishes back to the kitchen.

"Sleep well?" he asked Steven. "Khaat's walking pretty much by herself now Not going very far, but it is on her own two feet finally. She wants to see part of the grounds. She thinks she wants to walk. I'm thinking of perhaps one of us apparating her to a few places on the grounds and let her see a bit of the outdoors. Does that sound like something you'd be interested in doing with her? If so, I'll get her robe and her slippers."

Steven looked up on hearing Brians voice "that bed was comfy " he said fiishing his breackfst "and this breckfast is to die for " he said smiling he listened to Brian and nodded "sure I could do that , any where inpticuler you want her to see?" he sked as he sipped his cup of coffee as he waited , he knew Brian didn't have any flower gardens but he thought of a nice spot close to the house but had a nice view of the grounds.

"No, nothing in particular. Your choice and hers. Just remember she has no magic and is completely dependent on you while you're alone with her. Well, anytime, really. But I know you know that. I guess her being completely unarmed bothers me--a lot. She couldn't use her wand if her life depended on it. I wish I had Hermoine's time turner. I'd go a week ahead until she has er magic back. But...oh well. Just take good care of her. I'll get her robe and her slippers."

He went to her room and brought her blue silk robe and her slippers and took them outside for Khaat. "do NOT overdo," he told her.

"I won't. Steven won't let that happen. We'll be fine. Stop worrying, Big Brother," she laughed. "I'm fine."

steven stood up and placed his plate in teh sinks " I understand" he said and turned to face him kowing full well the gravaty of what he ahd asked him to do , he walked over to Khaat and smiled " ok no trouble miss" he said smirking to show he didn't mean a word he knew even without her powers she was a worthy advisary but he would reat her like she was his own sister or daughter.

"On my honor," she laughed. "I'll behave." She put on her robe and her slippers. "So--take me for a walk. I want to see whatever it is that makes Archangel so blissfully happy here besides a lot of empty sky. There has to be more to it than that. I know him too well. So--you ready then? In another day or two, I'll outrun you all." She stood up, and then felt herself reaching for his arm, involuntarily to steady herself. Hm...she thought. Might take an additional day before jogging begins.

steven smiled and looked at her with a raised eye brow giving a soft "humm" he said . watching her stand he reatched out and held her arm " im ready as always Khat , and sure theres a spot that perfest for loking over the farm" he said moving her so he stood close " ok, don't get the wrong idea nd hit me , this is just how I aperate with some on ok" he chuckled as he wraped his arm around her then aperated away.

Reapearing on a hill he quickly moved away below sat the house and all aound was the grounds, he accioed a blanket and made it lay its self out while he stood with Khaat "so you like the view ?" he asked as he sat her down

"I do," she smiled. "Very much. Steven, is there anything, right now, for me to return to Hogsmeade for? I mean, I like that little cottage. I really do. But at this point, I'm miles and miles away there from anybody who gives a damn. And I see Rob there every time I'm there, even though he wasn't there that much really. I guess I'm thinking there's no point in going back to the cottage for now at least. There's nothing there for me anymore. Not really. Here, I'm closer to you, Brian, and my parents. And Brian is never here that much that I wouldnt' have privacy. Besides that, I'm just a few miles from the fishing village where I basically grew up. Well, it was the only village I knew for many years. What do you think? Really?"

Steven sighed "Khaat I belive you have been given an opertunity to start over , this time with those who care about you , brian Robert Kate and most of all Abby , you'd be mad not to take it , forget all about Rob and jen , start thinking of you for once , god its about time you did " he said not looking at her but at the grass in front of him "Khaat you told me that many times after I woke now please take your own advice, stay here with brain and just me a mother to abby " he turned to look at her hoping he ahd not said anything to upset her he didn't want that but she adh asked for his opinion.

"Well, everything I thought I had with Rob turned out to be a lie, so I see no point in going back to it--in any sense. I have been giving serious thought to taking Brian's offer to just stay here. RIght now, the farther away from London or any part of the wizarding world I am, the better I feel. I don't know why, but I have no desire to go back to any of it. RIght now I'm thinking I really don't want it in my life. And, I actually am enjoying not being magical at teh moment. Muggles do quite well. There is a marvelous simplicity in it that I'm starting to like."

steven sat listening to her "if you think our going to perminaly stay a muggle don';t even go there , there are a lot of pations at St mongos that need you right now " he said turning to face her "it was you who brought me around rember, when muggels failed you suceeded , you wouldn't be the same if you didn't have some magic " he said his voice trailing off as he finished , he looked out over the farm then to her grow up knowing peace not hurt and pain " " if you stay here you wouldn't have to worry about using your mgic or anybody taking it from you and abby can
