We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

''You look funny, funny, but also nice'', he said with a smile. The walked around, but he was not so sure where to, because he did want her to lead the way. This would turn out to be her night. ''Are you feeling better, my dear? I hope my little change hasn't disturbed you in any way.'', he said.

Keera stopped walking for a moment and looked at Wilson, “Disturbed…” she muttered, a thoughtful expression in place. “No, but I should warn you, those mood- uh… swings happen quite often. They can be triggered by the simplest things, actually,” she said, fallowed by a rather awkward laugh. Keera looked in front of her, she could see the black lake and the greenhouse from where she was standing, and if she looked even further than that she could see the start of the forbidden forest. “heh, happens…” she whispered, but it made hardly any sense to herself, let alone anyone else.

Swinging her arms at her sides now, Keera continued forward; she wanted to get a good look at the black lake; she had spent so much of her time at near that lake when she was a student at Hogwarts that it would feel almost like going back in time if she spent time there once again. There was only so much sunlight left in the sky- the sun wasn’t visible anymore just the leftovers of its light –and the crescent moon could be spotted hiding behind a few gray clouds. Keera breathed in the evening air and glanced at Wilson, sparing him yet another smile.

''Nah, my dear. Do not worry. What I have seen, those mood swings are nothing unusual. Nothing that I can't handle. As I have said, I will always be there. I will not leave'', he said, embracing her.

They stopped by the Black Lake and then he noticed her looking at him. He smiled. ''What do you think of the Black Lake? I try to avoid it when possible, use it only when needed for classes, but you seem to be amazed or at least amused by it. Why is that so?'', he asked.

(I do apologize for the delay... I haven't had much time on my hands, but I do hope I will be more prompt in the future)

“There is a sense of… mystery to it. The lake holds secrets of all sorts & hasn’t revealed those secrets to anyone. How brilliant…” Keera replied with a twinkle in her eye that made her tired green eyes come to life. “Do you know why they call it the ‘black lake’?” she asked Wilson, Genuinely curious as to whether or not he knew the answer. She looking past his spectacles to see his eyes for a short moment before turning her attention back towards the body of water. “I wonder if it was here even before Hogwarts was created,” she thought allowed, tilting her head to one side as she watched the warm evening breeze cause the water to ripple. For a moment, Keera was completely calm, which was extremely rare. She breathed in, wrapping her arms around her midsection before sitting down in the grass.

[Yup, no problem]

''And I sensed it would be like that. You just seem like such a person.'', he said with a smile. ''Its name? It is, actually, called the Hogwarts Lake and yes, I do believe, it was here even before the Four decided to build a castle. Why they call it the Black Lake I am not certain, all the literature I have read calls it the Hogwarts Lake... but possibly because of its depth that, when there is no sun, "colors" it black. Although, this is just an assumption.'', he replied. ''Fancy a swim?'', he asked.

Keera smiled to herself for a brief moment, “Is that so? Am I really that predictable that you could guess I would say that, or have you been in my head again?” she asked him, though her tone wasn’t very serious, it was more mocking than anything. Keera pulled at her shoelaces absentmindedly as she listened to Wilson speak, “Then you have not read many books from the present day,” she said with a smirk, leaning back on her hands. “It sort of adds to the mystery of it, don’t you think?” she asked with a simple nod of her head, her wild hair moving with her head each time she titled it to one side or shook it.

“A swim?” Keera looked up at him with a bewildered expression, fallowed by an abrupt laugh. “Really? You’d like to go for a swim in the black lake?” she asked, needing some sort of confirmation to make sure he wasn’t just joking. She glanced at the water; to jump off that dock into the lake sounded like more fun than Keera had had in- well – in as long as she could remember.

''It was... a simple deduction. You are not predictable... I am just a good logician.'', he replied with a smile. ''Well, I must admit that the books I have read are old... but I have never understood why people call it the Black lake... it does, as you have stated, add a sense of mystery to it.'', he said, contemplating.

He laughed then. ''This is a common linguistic error. I asked if you would like to swim, not I.'', he said, laughing. ''I am not getting wet this late, I am not getting wet and this is the lake... a Giant Squid lives there. Although... it is pretty harmless if you do not go exploring... I suppose'', he added.

“Oh but to join the lake and its mysteries, James!” Keera spoke with a hint of excitement & wonder in her tone; two things that didn’t go very well with her forever scratchy voice. “The squid has nothing on me,” she replied with a smirk, her pale lips curled upward in a rather Grinch-like way. Were she ever to dye her hair green the resemblance would be uncanny. Keera pushed herself up off of the ground with her hands so that she was on her feet once more, “Sad fact of the madder is, I haven’t a clue how to swim,” she informed him before shrugging her leather vest off of her shoulders. “But then again, I am a witch, aren’t I?” she added in a hushed tone mockingly, as if she had to keep the fact a secret from the air & the trees near them.

Keera stepped out of her boots, leaving them behind as she headed towards the dock. There was a shore made up of grass and a single tree, but other than that there was only water and reeds that stuck up out of the lake. Keera stepped behind the tree, barefoot & dressed in a silk dress only to reappear on the other side in some makeshift swimsuit; a pare of shorts and a sleeveless shirt. Keera hadn’t ever spent money on a swimsuit for it would have been a waste; as she had told Wilson, she didn’t know how to swim. But looking at the glistening water of the black lake, she felt as if it was compelling her to jump into the water anyway.

“Let’s see what you’ve got…” Keera said with another of those odd smirks of hers as she walked forward on the wood dock. She turned around so that her back was facing the water, standing on the edge. She spread out her arms at her sides and closed her eyes. A strange sensation came over her as she fell towards the water, and for a split second, it was like flying.

There was a splash when she fell through the surface, disappearing from view completely as the water rushed over her. Now, time to use some sort of charm, she thought, her wand clutched to her chest.

''You don't know how to swim? Oh dear!'', he said, laughing a little. She looked cute in that swimsuit. ''And I can freely admire the mysteries of the Lake from here. No need to join them, to enjoy them.'', he said, looking at her.

She did not know how to swim. That was not good. He did not want to get wet, but he certainly would if she needed to be saved or anything. She was a witch, but still. He looked at her approach the lake and then jump in. One... two... three... (...) ten... OK... now it was getting alarming. He took his suit jacked off and took his wand. To jump in or to pull her out? A tough one.

It was a long time since he had a swim. He flicked his wand, transformed his suit into a swimsuit, took his glasses off and jumped inside. He would not let her drown. Soon, he found her and swam towards her, embracing her and pulling her above the water level. ''Feel better now?'', he asked with a smile, holding her.

Supper - Page 4 Empty Re: Supper

The water felt amazing as it caused her hair to float about her face like brown seaweed; it was cold, but the shivers racking her body felt good. Keera held out her arms- which looked ghostly pale when in the miry water-at her sides, her wand still held tightly in one of her fists, her mind had gone blank for a moment; the cold temperature of the water had washed her mind clear of all prior thoughts. An expression of confusion took over her facial features; not a single charm or spell that could help her would fill her head- not even her obnoxious subcoscious was doing anything.

It took Keera a few moments to realize she was slowly sinking downwards, and that she had used up most of her oxygen supply, and yet, she couldn’t do anything about it. Keera felt her feet touch the bottom of the lake, and then her back and her head moments later. By this point, her lungs were screaming for air, stinging and burning, but that was when the oddest thing happened; Keera smiled and started laughing. Her laugh could not be heard, but it was easy to tell that she her laughter was genuine when her last air left her lungs in large bubbles which floated from her lips and popped. She hadn’t the faintest idea what she was doing, or why it was so amusing, but she wasn’t about to attempt to understand her mind, for, even for her, it was a difficult task.

When Keera felt Wilson wrap his arms around her waist- appearing from seemingly no where- and pull her back up towards the surface, she strangely, wasn’t surprised at all. However, she was surprised by her own voice when they broke the surface and air flooded back in her lungs and she shouted, “Whooo! Haha!” It was almost as if she had thought near death had been fun. “You should try that sometime!” she added, speaking through a fit of laughter.

After calming herself, Keera realized what had gone down; she had nearly drowned, and she had enjoyed nearly drowning, but then Wilson had saved her and she was laughing about it all. Keera exhaled with a loud whoosh and beamed at him. “I knew you were lying when you said you didn’t want to swim,” she mocked before kissing him abruptly, smirking all the while. Oh what an odd evening it had been! Though Keera knew she was to blame for that fact.
