Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

"hello James," Grace said "my name is Grace if you don't know that. What exactly am i supose to do out there?" she asked. if some one had asked her to fire a cannon it would have been a lot simpler to her than this game she was about to play

Jamie smiled at the first year girl. She seemed nice enough to get along with. Becides, it never hurt to have at least one person in awe with her simple magic. James said hello to the girl who was apparently named Grace. His voice was cold and that scared Jamie. She did not want a mean captain. Lately she had been a fragile being. It struck her as ironic that she should be playing quidditch, a traditionaly voilent sport. As she was ending this thought in came Ginerva, a girl who had once been a pretty good friend of hers. She wore what seemed to be a simular expression to the one James had on his face, like the group of Ravenclaws essembled here was in no way good enough. Setting these thoughts away quickly she continued to let the bubbles fly around in the air around her, trying to not be annoying. They seemed to be perfectly relaxed. Jamie wished she was too.

(Sorry I'm late)

Belle walked in and saw Jamie, she smiled at her before going and sitting near her. She was nervous, it was her first real match and this time she could possibly get hurt. Not only that but she was going up against her two new sisters and she hoped they could remain civil as they had all promised.

Andrian was going to be in the stands, watching her every move to make sure all went well...but that still did not reassure her. She was also worried about letting her team down, but James had said she had not done bad in practice...but that was with a rock and not a snitch and nothing was flying at her nor was she racing someone else.

Oh bloody hell... She thought herself before taking a deep breath.

Derek skipped down the stairs towards the Rawenclaw Dressing Rooms where his team was organizing for the match. He was a bit out of time though since he already put on hid Dark Blue Quiditch Robes he was ready to start momentarly. Seing Derek in his Quiditch Robes was like seing completely different person from one people knew. His broom was in his left hand. "Hi everyone. Sorry i am a bit late.." he finally spoke up after observing his robe from head to toe like there was something wrong with it.

"Good. All who's left is Ginevra and anyone else who didn't come to practice," James smiled. "Are you all ok with this? We could always forfeit, if nobody here feels ready," he suggested. Now, James had not seriously considered the option. If it had been up to him, he never would have become the captain of this team. But James knew quite a bit about people. The mention of "forfeit" in such a competitive situation would have been blasphemy. But if the others felt strongly about Quidditch, they would surely shoot him down. It was his method of gauging the team's spirit.

Ginevra looked over at James. "Um. Hello. Right here?" she spoke up, looking at him like he was completley blind. She had been there before quite a number of new people that arrived. Rolling her eyes, she stood up and went over to where everybody else was. The blonde was a little on edge becausse she had just recently found out that the Gryffindor team had a vampire on it. Ginevra was a werewolf, and everybody knew how well those combinations worked out. Glaring at James, she wasn't liking him as a new captain. "Quit?! Are you insane? Get back on your flipping rocker and focus. What kind of pep talk is this?" surely being the outspoken one of the team, she was right out there with telling James exactly how felt about his idea. Forfeiting was not her style.

Jamie smiled at Belle. She liked her and wished they could spend more time together. As she sat next to her Jamie murmured "Sorry I missed the wedding, Belle. Do you think we could hang out sometime?" Nerveless it was good to have at least one friend on the team. Just then a little boy named Derek walked in. She did not really know him but had seen him around the castle. When James spoke she burst out "No way, James". She would not stand any shame like that. Even though it was pretty disappointing that other members of her team had also skipped practice she was secretly happy that she was not the only slacker here. Even if she was unprepared she would not quit, she was not a quitter.

Belle smiled at Jamie, "No Problem, and of course we can." She replied and then turned back to James and what he was saying. She too added her protest to the other. "No way, we can do this. So we haven't been a team for very long, but we are Ravenclaws and the one thing we do not do is give up, we think things through."

So Belle had said it better than she had, for sure. "Yeah" Jamie said unhappily looking at their captain. Ravenclaw's they were. They should have been the best team there was, not at the bottom of the league. Smiling to herself Jamie realized that quidditch made her stronger than she ever was before. No wonder so many people loved it. "Listen to Belle, sir" Jamie said loudly not quite sure what to call their captain. "She is sub-captain and has just about the same right to let us play as you do". Jamie was not sure of this but it sounded good anyways.
