Class 2 -NEWT

Keera watched as more students filed in and took their seats, she was
more relaxed now that Marina had put her watch away, and she had w-
-alked towards the main table in the greenhouse. “Alright- er- everybody
shut- quite down, please!” she corrected herself quickly, forcing another
smile to her lips. She lifted one of her hands and moved her index finger
to one side and the students’ textbooks opened, flipping through the pag-
-es by themselves until the book was on the right page. “by now I’m sure
you have been taught plenty about Herbology”- Keera leaned against the
table on her hands, looking ahead of her at the open door as she spoke –
"and during your previous classes I am sure your teachers read some s-
-tuff out of those huge books before you and then told you to dig around
in some flowerpot, or at least, that was the kind of Herbology classes I at-
-tended here at Hogwarts,” Keera began drumming her fingers against the
table she was leaning on and smirked, “That is not the way I teach. Today,
kiddoes, we are going to learn how to get out of a…tight situation!” she a-
-nnounced, laughing at her own joke, & in a blink of an eye the textbooks
vanished from sight. “I’ve always thought hands-on lessons were easier,
so I will introduce you to devil’s snare, and you will- one group at a time-
figure a way out of it. Oh, and you may not help each other; I want each of
you to learn how to defeat this plant and if you are teaming up the slackers
will learn nothing,” Keera explained, grinning excitedly; this wasn’t really a
lesson for the students, no, it was a test to see which of these children w-
-ere powerful… and which of them weren’t.

“Get in groups of four- no boys against girls crap either,” she ordered, & pu-
-lled a large cover off of the ground on the far end of the greenhouse, reve-
-aling a large pile of twisting vines. “Oh, and try your very best to use nonve-
-rbal magic if you can; If you can keep what spell you used to yourself, you
will be rewarded”.

“Exactly, but I expect you do just fine, Mariana; If you can produce a patr-
-onus then surely you can defeat a plant!” Keera replied simply, smirking
once more. She noticed how many students were there and realized that
not nearly enough students had arrived yet. “I am assuming that the other
students are busy daydreaming- they will all be dealt with later, for now
the few of you who actually showed up on time, will do as I have told you
and we will move on from there,” she explained, wrapping strands of her
hair around her fingers absentmindedly as she watched the children.
