Varod shrugged.
"I'm over it now, more or less," he replied. He pulled her onto the couch and into his lap. "Your bro won't talk to you for dropping out? Damn, that's harsh."
He stroked her hair, holding her tight.

"Its fine." she said looking at him. "I'm used to it, I know him better than he does. He'll come around. I'm the closest thing he has to a true best friend. He always cracks eventually when it comes to me." she said which was true. She was used to him cracking when it came to her and knew it would happen eventually and more than likely soon.

He snuggled her close to him.

"I don't know." she said looking at him as she moved over to the couch. "Really?" she asked looking at him, "I don't know if I could go with you on that. Isn't it like realy dangerous?" she asked curiously as she moved over so he could sit down next to her.

"Well, yes and no," Varod replied. "One time a gang jumped me and a mountain troll decided to attack at that same moment so...yeah I had fun takin him out. Had James Wake with me."
Smiling at her, he kissed her lips lightly.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't let anyone hurt you."

"Had who with you?" she asked looking at him as he kissed her lips. Her eyes widened but she returned the kiss slightly deeper than he had kissed her.

"A friend..." Varod whispered. He pushed her softly back on the couch and kissed her harder. His shirt was pulled off quickly and he continued to kiss her.
"Are you ready?" he asked rhetorically and quietly.

"Um should I be?" she asked once he broke the kiss. "I thought I made it clear that I don't put out on first dates. Not unless I'm wasted which I'm not." she thought he would have figured that they wouldn't be sleeping together tonight but obviously she had thought wrong.

"Well, you said, but okay. I can wait," he replied quietly. "But I do want to spend tonight with you. Can I do that? No sex, just me cuddling you all night long and kissing you and falling asleep next to you."
