Greeting & Salutations!!

Landon had already made a couple of laps around the lake. He had a lot on his mind at the moment. There was all of the worries about keeping up with school work on top of all the problems he learned his cousin Sophia was facing from Sammy. He honestly hadn't expected for things to have been that bad but apparently they were. But there was no sense in worrying about things which he could do nothing to stop. That was a complete waste of time. There were a couple of kids throwing around what looked like a spare Quaffle which Landon unfortunately didn't see in time. When he looked up, because he had been walking around looking at the ground like he normally does, the ball was flying at him much too quickly. Dodging out of the way he bumped into a bench which had someone sitting on it. Without even looking at who they were he muttered, "Sorry about that," he shook his head, "Stupid first years," he added under his breath as he shot a dirty look towards the kids who had been playing around.

Peter had been stareing out at the ground when he felt someone knock into his bench. He stood up angirly and turned to see who it was. The person didn't even have the nerve to look him in the eyes while appologizing. "Excuse me, I was sitting here." Peter said, then realized that he had seen this guy in his common room a couple of times. Maybe he would be usefull and then he heard him insult the first years and Peter furowed his eyebrows. "My name is Peter Lawman, Maybe you have heard of me?" Peter said to him, holding his hand out waiting for the boy to shake it.

Landon glared at the older Slytherin who had addressed him in such a hostile manner. "Yeah, I realized you were sitting there which is exactly why I apologized," he replied heatedly. Of all the nerve. From what he had seen around the Common Room, this bloke that he was a hot commodity. Landon certainly didn't appreciate that sort of behavior. Although Landon was always one to be polite, so he extended his arm forward and shook the other boy's hand rather firmly, "Landon Rooney." He released his hand before adding, "Nope, can't say I've heard of you." He gave the older boy a smirk, "What should I have heard about you?"

Peter could tell that this guy was going to be trouble. So he smirked back when the boy did and then glared when the boy did. "Well you would have only ever heard the best about me. I mean my family. We are the richest in the place and have all the respect of the most important people. So what do you think about that?" Peter asked him knowing that if the boy knew about his wealth and prosperity he would come around and worship him. It only took persuading.

Landon looked at him with disbelief. Was this boy really trying to rub his wealth in his face? Landon was one of the richer Pureblood families, though he never mentioned that. His parents were also well-known Death Eaters but he wasn't about to mention that either. He wasn't trying to impress anyone because of where his family stood in the social rankings. If anyone was to be impressed with him, he would make sure it was only because of who he was and not because of his family. Feigning a believable smile he replied, "Oh, your family? I may have heard about them but I can't say I've heard about you," he replied honestly. He hadn't heard of his family either but he generally kept his nose out of that sort of stuff. He found himself above it...which to be honest was rather pretentious of him. "What is there to know about you though? Outside of who your family is anyways," he asked, genuinely curious. Was there more than what met the eye when it came to this boy? Landon doubted it but he was willing to give Peter the benefit of the doubt.

Peter smiled victoriously up at Landon when he said that he had heard of his family. Then his smiled faded as the boy asked him why he would know him and not just his family. Peter of course had no good answer to this so he used what he knew. "Well I'm good at alot of stuff. I'm already better than your best duler and I only just got here. What do you say to that? Seeing as you are so impressed with me, how about I offer you a seat as my highest ranking bully. What do you say?" Peter offered him before he could retort to the before said. Peter knew that this was not going to end well and that is why he was speeding things up. Peter had come out her to gain some ground in the bullying prospect and never wanted to have to gain an enemy in his own house.

Landon really didn't like that smug smile which had appeared on the other Slytherin's face. However, there was little he could do about it at this point. He did enjoy the faltering of his smile when he asked what there was to be known about him. Perhaps the boy wasn't as cocky as he appeared. Though Peter's next words proved that he was just as cocky as he appeared. Impressed with him? What? Landon raised an eyebrow at him. A bullying prospect? This bloke was just too much for him. "I'm afraid that I'm going to decline your, um, generous invitation," he replied in the most polite tone he could muster. "But since you're just so good at a lot of things, I'm sure you won't have a problem finding yourself some bullies." There was just a hint of sarcasm in his voice though he tried his best to keep it to a minimum. He wasn't trying to make an enemy here, he didn't have the time for enemies. But Peter was making it hard for Landon to like him.

How dare he decline his invitation, this guy was not good enough to be a Slytherin. "Well, thats very sad you probably weren't good enough at being one anyways, just don't get in my way then or you will learn very quickly who I know." Peter said to the boy wondering how long it would take for him to just walk away. Peter could tell that this boy was not a good kid to mess with, but that didn't scare him. "Oh believe me, there are plunty of other Slytherins out there that would love to be my head bully. Just you wait." Peter replyed, hoping that this would end that conversation and the boy would walk off. Obviously the boy was not going to be persuaded.

Landon wanted to let out a rather obnoxious yawn to show that he wasn't scared of this boy or his threats. But he resisted that temptation. For some reason, Peter seemed to believe he already ruled the school even though he had only just gotten there. "You're probably right about that. I wouldn't have made a good bully because I find the whole bullying thing to be beneath me," he replied calmly. He once again had to resist temptation. He wanted to tell Peter that he wasn't all that scared of him but he didn't feel like getting in some sort of dueling match right there on the grounds. He was a much more verbal person anyways. Landon let out a small chuckle, "Oh yeah, I can't wait to see which mindless git you find to be your bully. I'll be holding my breath for that one." Landon wasn't exactly sure why he didn't just leave the conversation but he felt it would look rather weak of him if he did so. The last thing he wanted to do was appear weak.
