Katherine was busy putting dinner together, in an odd mix of muggle style and wizard style cooking. She was making a chicken stew and salad, and fresh biscuits. She had a peach cobbler for dessert. Robert went into the living room and woke Khaat slowly. "Your mother is making dinner, Sweetheart," he said gently as Khaat woke slowly. He sat just stroking her hair for a moment. He touched her forehead. "Lay still for a second. I'll be right back." He went into the kitchen and got a cup of tea and mixed a bit of sugar in it with a dose of a potion for her. He brought it back. "Your bloodsugar is a bit low. You haven't been eating, my girl. Drink up. You'll feel better. It's not a full cup. You should be able to do that in a couple sips." Khaat managed easily and was feeling better in moments. "You know I have to go home after dinner, Daddy," Khaat said, "I have kids to take care of. " "They're teenagers. They'll manage for a few more minutes until you eat," Robert said. He helped her up and took her to the kitchen, keeping a strong arm under her, just to ease his own anxieties. He sat her at the table. Khaat's mother looked at her and glared at Robert unhappily. "You get her more of that tea, Robert Thomas," she ordered. Robert looked back at Khaat, "You heard your mother. I'll be right back." He fixed her another cup of tea while Katherine began setting serving dishes full of food onto the already set table.
