OOC: Morning there, already?

After yesterday's last meal, Miseria felt so full even this morning. Then she finally got up, though, it was against her own will and went to the bathroom what was next to her room. There she washed her tooth and face. Even without make-up her lashes were long and dark. And her lips, what usually were colored with red were like liquid pink. Something darker, but also light. And her face – that was pale as usual, though, now there were few stripes what she had made with her nails while washing her face with cold water.
Then she went back to her bedroom and changed her clothes. Usual black jeans what looked like they have been cut in many places, pierced belts, combatboots, t-shirt and then black make-up on her face. And little work with her hair, then she was ready. For a second she stood in the middle of the room, looking to the mirror, at her own reflection, and put her hand on her little belly. This is so unbelievable! she thought. But now, strangely, she felt happy.

Khaat was in the kitchen. Her parents had prepared breakfast for them all, and her father already knew what Khaat had in store for them this morning. Her father handed her a cup of tea, to steer her away from her coffee, as her mother set breakfast dishes on the table. Khaat watched Gar and Mis arrive.

"Good morning," Khaat smiled, "Are you two ready for an adventure today?"

Jack streached as he wonderd into the kitchen his tee shirt thrown over his shoulder as he looked bleery eyed at them all. "sorry, don't fully awake till i have my coffee, its and old Auror habit i just can't break. "he said poring a cup and as he stood against the counter , he closed his eyes as he took a drink "ahh, that hits the spot, morning" he said smiling to every one " so whats todays plan?" he asked taking a second sip of his cup he went to sit on the chair backwards at the table but rembered where he was and sat properly looking sheepishly at katherine as he did placing his cup on the table in front of him.

"I think, in light of how dangerous our world is becoming, and how quickly any of us could have to defend ourselves, I think we need to see how well our young ones do at dueling and defending themselves. I could use your help in testing and teaching them today," Khaat told Jack. "I think its been on my mind how close I came to losing my own life just a short time back, and how quickly it can happen to even the best of us. Shacklebolt was a fine example of that. I want these kids to be prepared."

Garulia shuddered.
"I didn't like Shacklebolt," he admitted quietly. "He made me mad, and when he told us to evacuate the castle...that was the wrong move."

"I'm sorry you had that bad experience," Khaat said softly. "Bad memories can stay with you a long time. But I hope I can help you there. I made something for you last night after you went to bed." She opened the red bag and drew out some necklaces. They were made of white gold, and each of them had a pendant--a white gold coat of arms. "This is the Lupin family coat of arms," She told them. "We Lupins don't give them out to just anybody. But I'm giving one to each of you because you're part of my family. I have one for Rob and I have one for myself on a bracelet. My parents each have one. The important thing for you to know about this necklace is that I have had made it into two different portkeys. The chain is a portkey to get you here. The coat of arms will get you home to Hogsmeade. This little gift is my way of being sure that you always have a way out of whatever situation you're in. You'll always have a way out, you'll always have a way home." She turned to Jack. She handed him one. "I don't know if you or Jess will ever need this, but at least you'll have one. In case you or Jess ever need a safe way out," She said softly.

Garulia nodded and took the necklace, putting it around his neck and feeling immediately safer.
"Thank you," he told Khaat, smiling at everyone, his grin lingering for a second longer on Miseria.

"You're welcome, Gar," Khaat said. "As I said, I don't want any of you to be lost to me because you couldn't get home. I want us to practice using them so that you know it works and know how to do that. And then I want to be sure that if you had to, you could defend yourselves. The portkey stuff we can do in here, but the defensive stuff we should really do outside. Have either of you travelled by portkey before by yourselves, Mis or Gar?"

Jack took the pendant and looked at it turning he clipped it around Jessicas neck then faced Khaat "If you don't mind I am a trainned Auror and can take care of myself, but Jess at the moment can't , I apriciate the gesture and totaly understand why" he said drinking his coffee now feeling more like himself, but what she was sujesting was there may be another battle and he was not sure Jessica wsa ready for that after what happend after the last one, he ahd just found her not that long ago and only now becoming a family again.

Standing he moved to the kitchen window his back to them as he could not help but sigh he had fought so many battles and hoped leaving the school would have ment leaving those behind but he knew in his heart it was not , it just drew them closer to the things and people he cared about.

Garulia shook his head.
"Never," he told her. "I've traveled by portkey with others before..." then he looked at Jack. "Just friggin take the necklace and quit being stubborn.
