"I'm glad you brought him. Its been a long time since little people his size were here. Its a nice thing, actually, " Khaat said, turning to pour her scrambled egg mixture into a large cast iron skillet. "Help yourself to coffee or tea, Jack. We'll be ready to eat in a minute."

Jack laughed as he blew rasberrys on Andrew who giggled back "ok, time Da had breackfast, Mum mum kept him up half the night " he said seeing Jessica blush at hs comment , with Andrew cradled in his arms he walked to jessica gently placing a kiss on her lips "morning" his voice soft. Andrew had other ideas and grabbed Jessica around her neck in a hug "mo mo" he said Jack chuckled "ok , mini me time you went and watched some tv " he said moving his arms from around jessica "be back in a second Khaat just gonna get him settled " Jack said turning and walked out the kitchen but not before Andrew got the last word "ba,ba Ka" he said waving to Khaat.

Khaat laughed, "Bye bye, Andrew." She turned to tend to her eggs, not wanting them to burn. She watched her mother take a batch of fresh cinnamon scones out of the oven and pour a delicate sugar glaze over them. "Those smell wonderful," Khaat told her mother. "They did seem to turn out, didn't they?" Katherine smiled. "Watch that coffee, dear. Not so much, or your father will scold. Make your next cup tea, please." "I will, " Khaat promised, not liking having to give up coffee. She missed Rob and wished he could have made this weekend with her, but she understood how busy he was. Instead, she drew out some grated parmesan cheese from the refrigerator and put a healthy indulgence of it into her eggs, with a pinch of salt and pepper. "Do you need a warm up on your tea, Jess?"

Jess wtched Jack with Andrew as he brought him over to her gently kissing ehr as she returned his with a smile "wow" she said as Andrew hugged her but it felt the best thing in the world , when Jack pulled away she gently kissed his small hand , giggling as he said bye to Khaat.

With a sigh she watched Katherine take out some cinnamon scones from the oven "Mumm" she said with a smile " oops, sorry, let it go cold " she said to Khaaat as she asked if she wanted a warm up "thanks Khaat , he's so distracting" she said grinnng at the door.

"Here," Khaat said, "Let me fix that for you." She took Jess's cup and tossed out the cold tea and refilled her cup with Robert's fresh herbal tea. "Did you take all your potions today? You don't want to miss a proper country breakfast, Jess. Mom's got potatoes frying and some proper bacon cooking too. And Dad made a wonderful fruit salad with some sparkling apple cider just a short while ago. I want you to be able to eat well. " She set Jess's cup back in front of her.

Jess sat back in her chair and smiled "yes, mom i did" she chuckled looking at her " don't worry even the ...yuck...ones " she said screwing up her nose. the more Khaat spoke the more she felt her belly rumble "it all sound delishios, i am gonna be as big as a house by the time leave here " she joked rubbing her belly as she smiled as she took her fresh tea , as she drank one kicked out knocking the cup from her belly and making her wince "I guess they didn't like it" she said wincing.

Khaat laughed. "They'll be alright with it. No child ever likes medicine, even if it tastes like candy. I guess I'm just fortunate not to have to deal with that sickness stuff so far. Looks like the eggs are done. " Khaat's father came in just in time, and kissed Katherine on the cheek and then kissed Khaat's cheek. "How's my baby girl today?" he asked. "I'm fine, Daddy," Khaat smiled. She poured him a cup of tea. "Thank you, honey," he said. "Robert, will you help lift up the dishes to the table, please?" Katherine asked. She and Robert set out large bowls of fried potatoes, Khaat's cheesy scrambled eggs, a large platter of scones, bowls of clotted cream and jam for the scones, a pitcher of juice, and Robert's heaping bowl of fruit salad. Khaat poured fresh pots of tea and coffee and set them on the table and called for everyone to come for breakfast. "Will Andrew eat with us, Jess?" Khaat asked.

Jess nodded "I don't see why not " she said seeing Jack carring him in under his arm "ok you two breackfast, play at fighting later" she could not take ehr eyes of both of them as Jack joked about it not being Andrew but a mud monster undr his arms because he'd found hm messing in a mud pile " ok,ok wash up " she said chuckling.

Jesica felt her tummy tighten and took a deep breath in, for a moment her face became worried she had never had this with Andrew , it eased off and she relaxed again figuring she would just leave it for later , why spoil everyones breakfast. Jessica made a bottle for Andrew appear on the table for him.

Robert had seen Jess's distress. "Something's going on," he told her. He wanted her to understand that he was extremely observant and wasn't about to let anything happen. "Do you want me to find out what it is?"

"Yeah," Gar said simply and poured himself some coffee to wake him up. Then he sat down on a chair and drank deeply, and let himself drift off into his own thoughts and emotions.
