Sammy took the money from him carefully and then put it away making sure that none of it touched her. So then she looked up at him. "Ok so I guess now we can go back to town and get something to eat or drink or whatever." She said to him wondering if the battle tired him out as much as it did her.

Varod nodded again.
"Sure, Hogshead or Three Broomsticks?" he asked her smiling slightly. "It sounds like fun either way."

Sammy smiled, she like either of the two so she was going to let him choose. "You choose either of them is fine with me." She said to him waiting to follow him.

"Hogshead," Varod said immediately. It always appealed to him. It reflected how he felt most of the time. Quiet, withdrawn.
He ran inside and ordered two butterbeers and sat at a table.

Sammy followed Varod into the Hogshead. She ordered a drink when he did and sat down in a chair across from him. She drank her drink and swung her feet under the table enjoying herself.

Varod smiled again and leaned back, looking at all the people, profiling them...until one caught his eye...one who was staring at him...with the slight curve of a tattoo on his left arm.
"Oh shit," he muttered. "We gotta get outta here, Sam. Now."

Sammy saw the look of horror on Varods face. She followed his gaze till she saw a man sitting at a table in the back corner of the place stairing at Varod. Sammy turned back to Varod. "Whats going on Varod? Whats wrong? Who is that guy? We just got here why do we have to leave?" She asked him wanting him to calm down and tell her what was going on.

"His left arm," Varod whispered, mouth barely moving. "He's a DE. We have to leave. He knows who we are. I can tell. He knows who our allies are. "It means massive trouble. I don't want anyone here hurt."

Sammy felt her body stiffen up when she hear the word DE, Sammy knew that Ne'Os was on the top of their list and she was a number one object to get to him. She would never let that happen and she also didn't want anyone else here to get hurt either. "Well we can just get up and leave but what if he follows us. When we get out the door lets head for the forrest then he will have to fight us their if he doesnt' call for back up." She said to him with urgency in her voice.

Varod nodded solemnly. "That way no one gets hurt," he said absent-minded, hurrying to get out of the pub and running for the forest, pulling Sam behind him. The DE was following them. When they were in a clearing, he whirled to face him, wand drawn.
