Relaxing by the lake

"Ahhh, the peace and quiet of a hot summer's day," Jess thought to himself, walking down from the castle to the lake. Around him were the sounds of students, relaxing in the warmthof the suns rays, or splashing about in the lake itself with the Giant Squid occasionally thrusting a student up into the air before splashing back down into the water. With a smile he spread out his picnic rug and putting down his picnic basket on the rug, he sat down and lay back, hoping some other people he knew could join him.

Nikki was having a stroll saw an old friend. Jess Potter. It's been a while, she thought and had nothing to do and thought this would be a great time to just, catch up. She walked over to him and sat on the picnic rug. Hey, don't mind if I join you, do you? Nikki asked, curiously. Perhaps he was setting up for a date with somebody..Mari, maybe?

Ginevra wasn't really into being inside, so once again it wasn't surprising to see her outside roaming around by her favorite spot: the lake. She missed it, you know, how it used to be before she was in her sixth year. She missed how she had the one friend she now missed more than ever too. What she didn't miss was having Topher back, and Scorpius as a friend knowingly and not in secret. Allowing her hair to lay on her back, it blew as a slight breeze went by. Looking the direction that it had arrived from, she saw that in the lake there were two people; one boy, and one girl, both of which he did know, one more than the other. "Jess? Long time no see!" she spoke up as she got closer, smiling in the slightest bit. "You too, Nikki."

Danny walked along the edges of the lake watching the water ebb back and forth. He always came down here to calm down or think and it was a perfect place too. As he was walking, he spotted Jess and Nikki sitting by...a picnic blanket? Danny almost assumed the worst and started to rush over. "Um Jess?" Danny asked awkwardly "hows Mari?" Almost immediatly, he saw Ginerva standing by him. He let out a smile and said "Well well long time no see!"

Hello Gin. Nikki smiled warmly. Nikki didn't really know Gin much, but they still talked anyways..They weren't enemies but weren't BFFs either, just like a friend in the distance. And hey Danny. Nikki added when he came over. Oh nothing much, just relaxing by the good ol' lake. Nikki said as she breathed in deeply to get a sense of the fresh air. I know I feel like it's been ages since we've all been in a group and just talked, huh? Nikki asked, curiously.

"Pretty much," Danny said to Nikki "all these new people showing up its kinda hard to keep track. It had been a long time since he had sseen everyone together like old times. Hard to believe really

"Hello," a soft, male voice approached them -- It was Andrian walking down to them, shirtless. He looked around and stopped when he saw that they were having a picnic. A grin spreaded onto his face. "A picnic?" he asked. He sounded amused. "Am I invited?" said Andrian looking at each of them slowly and smiled, warmly at them. Holding onto a blue shirt in his hand which he was going to put on after working in his hut behind them.

"Nikki," Jess said warmly, rising to catch her in one of his good ol' style bear hugs. "And Gin! Long time no see guys," he said giving gin the same treatment, smiling knowingly as he knew she'd hate being hugged. "Danny, it's great to see you man," Jess said, walking over to him and shaking his hand. "I'm sure Mari's fine, in fact, she should be arriving sometime soon, i invited her to join us," he said with a smile. "And Andrian my friend, we really do need to keep in touch better. Of course you're invited!" He added, shaking his hand also. "It's so good to see you all again, we really shouldn't keep away like that again, we should all meet up alot more really." He finished, smiling warmyl too them all

"Good to see you, mate," said Andrian shaking his hand then giving him a good old pat in the back. He laughed and looked at Danny, Nikki and Ginervra. They were all here, his best friend, he missed all of them. "Hear hear," nodded Andrian in agreement as he grinned and looked at each of them, happily.

Jess smiled and looked at them all, similar thoughts running through his head as to those going through Andrian's. "I miss this," he said simply, as it was all he could say. He really did miss being with these people, all the new students just pissed him off too much.
