Keith stepped nervously up to the microphone, fidgeting with the watch on his wrist. Of course, he had a headache now...and the damn watch was lighting up and spinning, flashing hundreds of different colors in the midday sun. Keith took it off in disgust and stuffed the thing in his pocket. Last thing he needed now was distractions. His head cleared slightly, and he frowned. Weird, but he wasn't complaining.
The Hogwarts nurse, Astoria Malfoy, handed him the magical microphone. "This is a big responsibility." She said, peering down at him. "Are you ready for it?" ((OoC: Astoria is my other account, so that's not godmodding))
Keith nodded, his mouth dry. He wiped his sweaty hands on his jeans and took the microphone, feeling the cool metal against his feverish palm. He took a deep breath and spoke into it.
"Hello HOGWARTS!"
His voice boomed through the stadium, magically enhanced to epic proportions. He saw Mordecai down on the field, readying the balls, and took another deep breath. "This is Keith Nicholas, your new Quidditch commentator, and today is the kickoff of what promises to be an amazing season!"
It was getting easier now, his voice flowing smoothly from his brain and out his mouth. "Let me tell you, we've got a good match today! One one side, the blue and bronze of RAVENCLAW!" Cheers erupted from the crowd, mainly towards the Ravenclaw hoops, while boos emnated from the other end of the field, where the Slytherin's sat. "And on the other, the green and silver of SLYTHERIN!" More boos and cheers, though from opposite ends of the fields this time. Keith grinned, anticipation and adrenaline running through him. This was his moment.
"NOW WHO'S READY FOR SOME QUIDDITCH?!"
