Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Christabelle took in every word that the headmaster had spoken. She would have to practice her spells most definitely. And she couldn't have any help. It had really been a lot to say to say basically nothing in particular. She ran her hand through her curls tucking a stray strand of her curly artic blonde hair behind her ear. "I never asked directly if you would tell us what the first task was headmaster." she said looking at him, "Forgive me if I seemed rather forward with that I was only curious as to whether or not we'd have some clue or inclination as to what we could be facing more than what you've given us."

"Well I can't tell you what your facing, its a surprise! A very good surprise, unless you die of course," he chuckled merrily. "Of course, if it looks like you might die, the teachers wills step in, so don't worry too much." he added, after he had fun seeing their expressions, which weren't really that frightened, which was quite annoying. But then again, they weren't supposed to be cowards or else they wouldnt be chosen!

Abbey nodded. She hadn't abused her champion status at all, she had just talked about what it was like to be one every now and than. She'd have to practice all the spells she knew of; maybe she could get Elv or Willow to practice with her. But then, the headmaster's voice rang in her head: 'You are not allowed to get help from anyone to complete the task. Abbey thought she better ask about if just practicing with friends was not allowed. "Um, sir? Are we allowed to practice with our friends?" Abbey asked.

''Sorry for being so straightforward, Kingsley, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong. In my opinion, Miss Dawn, you are allowed to practice with anyone outside of the Tournament. You should just keep it legal and safe, or under control by some of the professors. How you prepare should not be our business. We are here to see you complete the tasks and survive the whole tournament. Therefore, my opinion is that you can practice with your friends, but outside of the tournament. Any help, from anyone, during the tournament will lead to disqualification, immediately.'', Wilson said. He had been quiet the whole time, but this time he had to say something. He was not sure of the rules himself, he never read the copy he received, therefore he just suggested something he thought was correct. Any other variation of this rule would be utterly unfair according to him.

The headmaster did not like being corrected, even if he was wrong. It made him feel like he was stupid, which he wasn't. Still, WIlson was right after all, there wouldn't be anything wrong with them practicing with their friends. "Alright then, you can practice your spells with your friends, but none of them are allowed to help you in the second task..." he said, thinking he would make that clear. "I guess you could practice outside on the grounds or in an empty classroom if you need to," he added.

Abbey nodded. "Thank you headmaster, that could help me alot." Abbey knew she had made the right decision to practice with her friends; they could give her helpful tips or pointers on any spells that could help her perform them better. Abbey thought about asking Elv or Jamie to help her; Jamie was a sixth year afterall, and could maybe even show her more advanced spells, and Elv was Abbey's "cheer-upper" as she liked to call it. Elv always had a postitive additude that made Abbey feel better when she was getting down.

Looking at Abbey, the headmaster thought he had made the right decision. After all, most of the champions would need every help they could possibly get, expecially Abbey, the youngest of them all.

"Headmaster so does that mean we're supposed to practice alone on the second task?" she asked curiously having listened to every word he had said. It was in her nature to ask questions to make sure she knew full well what they were getting themselves into. "It just seems a little strange to me that you would do that because how are we to practice? Some of us don't get time away from our friends enough to practice away from them."

"Your not meant to practice on your second task at all! Its a task of mind, and you can't practice that with your friends anyways! Unless you share the same mind, which is highly improbable, though might happen in some rare circumstances among wizard twins... In fact, I once saw 2 telepathic twins who shared each others minds, and they grew so angry with each other that they killed the other. Tragic story, but very interesting. Perhaps I will tell you all of it one day..." Shacklebolt said, going entirely off topic, though he felt like he gave Christy the answer she had asked for.
