Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Elv sneaked to the Champion's room to said some good luck to all her friends. She knew that today they all would have a meeting with the judges, that she probably didn't have any change meeting them. But, well... Who knows... Elv walked to that small room and saw Jamie there. She sighed. That meant not only her who sneaked into that room. She smiled and looked around.

"Hey, Jamie... Glad to see you here..." she laughed. Elv smiled to Abbey and waved to Chris. "Congratulation!!!" she said happily. "Good luck, Abbs, Chris... And be very careful okay..." she said.

Elv looked around and found Selwyn shaking hand with Aden. "Hey you two..." she poked their shoulders gently. "Wish you all the best!! And be careful... I know the tasks wouldn't be easy..." she said to both of them.

"Thanks Elv!" Abbey said, giggling at her friends ovbious excitement. "Wish you could've made it too, but Aden's great too!" Abbey gave her friend a small squeeze before turning to Headmaster Shacklebolt. "What exactly are we doing sir?" Abbey asked politely. She had alot of excitement building up in her, and Abbey felt like she was going to burst if something didn't happen soon!

[if a thread doesn't say open, don't join it]

The headmaster viewed as the four champions entered the room with a smile. He also viewed too midgets enter the room with a frown. "Err your not allowed here, get out," he said, gesturing to the door. He had expected that students would sneak back here. "Well welcome champions, you have been chosen by your heads of house to represent your house in the Hogwarts Championship. I trust you will all do your best in this competition for your house," he said loudly. "Well we don't have to wait for the judges, they don't matter." the headmaster said carelessly. "You have been brought here so I can inform you on the first task and the perils which await you, you still have the chance to drop out of the tournament. Though that will mean that your house will lose, your friends will be angry at you and your social life at hogwarts will be permanently wrecked," he added with a laugh.

Christabelle sighed as she saw the two girls enter. They should have known that they weren't allowed back in here. It was after all a meeting for the champions, not champions and random members of their houses that wanted to show up. What would have been the point in that. As she listened to the Headmaster speak she couldn't help but laugh inwardly. If she were to drop out half of her house already hated her anyway so there wasn't much more they could say to her but she highly doubted she would drop out over hearing what the first task would be. She smiled and looked at the Headmaster, "Well I don't see any reason in us waiting any longer headmaster." she replied her German accent a little on the thick side today, "Lets hear what we need to know."

"Alright, the first thing you have to know is that these tasks are dangerous. If you fail them, you die. They will require all your magical potential but also good thinking, skills and courage. If you don't have all of those, you shouldn't do the tasks, or else you might die, understand?" he said it in his usual merry tone, but he was actually being quite serious now.

Abbey nodded. She was ready for anything that was thrown at her in the tasks. "So will we get to know exactly what are first task is?" Abbey asked questioningly. It would be better if she knew, so then she could practice any spells needed, or collect any information she needed to succeed.

Christabelle nodded her head to Abbey's comment. She had felt the exact same way. She wanted to know if they would know exactly it would be that they would deal with. She like Selwyn was glad her mother wasn't there. However her father, the former auror that he was would be proud of the chance she got at this. She looked at the headmaster, "I do believe we understand that Headmaster." she said going back to her own thoughts as she waited for the headmaster to continue speaking.

"Of course I'm not gonna tell you exactly what it is!" the headmaster said jollily. "I'm just gonna tell you the time schedules and the rules!" Looking around, he saw that most of the judges were still not here. Well, he'd explain it to them later. "The first task will start at the end of november or early december. So I guess you should get ready for it by that time. Practice your spells because the first task will be about your magic potential and skills. I will also remind you that you can't abuse your champion status, you will still have to listen to your prefects. Also, remember that you can't ask for anyone elses help during this competition. Not following these rules will lead to your house losing the cup. So any questions?" he asked, having said everything he had to.
