"Calm down, calm down, geez," Varod muttered. "If you really wanted to you could stay the night, I don't mind, you can have my room and I can crash here."
He shrugged. "Only if you want to, you seem troubled and I...I'd like to know I'm where I can help with...anything if need be."
Varod scratched his head, embarrassed slightly.

"I am being calm." she said looking at him. "You already said that before." she said smiling at him, "And I told you I would, but now that you say that it rather seems like you don't want me to stay." She sighed, "You know sometimes I wish things could go back to the way they were...you know before you got kidnapped."

Varod sighed.
She had just expressed his feelings exactly.
"Of course I want you to stay, but it's just...I fell in love with you and it made me weak and then that whole other side of me coming..."
He sighed again.
"I don't want that to happen again."

"You know." she said looking at him. She was trying to think of how to word what she had wanted to say. Something she really hadn't had to do for a while now. She got out of the recliner and walked over to him plopping down on the floor in front of him where she could look him in the eyes more, "You fell in love with me. I fell in love with you." she sighed as she closed her eyes. Everything wasn't coming out the way she wanted it to.

"If you're afraid of me getting hurt you shouldn't be I guess is what I'm trying to say." she said before she kissed him on the lips. She hadn't been planning to kiss him but it had just happened.

Varod blinked.
"No, it's that I don't wanna fall to where I can't get back. I fell so far in love I lost my strength, and my...me. You saw. It's not that I don't want to be with you or that I don't want you safe it's that I want to keep what makes me...me..."
He hugged her close.
"It's hard..."
Releasing her, he realized what he was doing.
"Sorry, I didn't mean...you're engaged..."

She looked at him, "Actually I'm not." she said looking at him as he released her from the embrace. "I'm sorry I should have told you. I probably should tell you." she said looking at him. Her mind was debating. "I left him." she said looking at him, "Before I found you." she said looking at him, "He killed his sister for being bitten by a werewolf." She looked at him. She needed to change the subject.

"No you let yourself be blinded by the love. You didn't let it make you stronger." she continued to say, "Love for people only makes you stronger if you let it. That whole it made you weak is a bunch of bull!"

"Heh, I got my proof. It tried to kill me to show me that. I don't want to be blinded by love, I don't want to lose what I have now. Don't get me wrong, I love you a lot."
The news that she had left the guy blew him away.
He pulled her back close to him, kissing her cheek.
"Does that make you single, then?" he asked, grinning. "I promise to stay myself this time."

She rolled her eyes at him, "I don't see what exactly you got your proof of." she said looking at him, "I still think you have a dopple ganger running around trying to kill you." she smiled at him as he kissed her cheek. "It does mean I'm single." she said looking at him, "Any reason you're asking?" she asked curiously.

"You're really testing my resolve that you are NOT retarded," Varod teased. "You tell me, why do you think I'm asking? I'll give you a hint..."
He pulled her on top of him rolling and holding her as close as possible.

"What I can't be teasing with you?" she asked laughing as he pulled her on top of him. She blushed a little as he held her close to him. "Maybe I just want you to actually come out and say it this time instead of last time when I had to ask because you never said anything about it."
