N.E.W.T. Lesson 2nd

Amelia hastily put her wand away after casting the charm, but Neve had clearly noticed the abrupt change in her mood and Amelia thought she might have caught her with her wand out. Smoothing her face into something nonchalant, Amelia tried to keep her eyes off Neve. From her peripheral vision, she saw the girl stand and return to her seat, looking at no one and saying nothing.

When she was seated again, Amelia turned slightly to see that the girl had covered her face with her hair; a tactic Amelia knew very well. She didn't know whether the girl was displeased that Amelia had intervened or glad for the swell of more pleasant memories or feeling nothing at all. No matter what the girl felt about it, Amelia wouldn't feel differently about what she had done. She very rarely regretting her actions with her wand for she weighed her spells very seriously before casting.

Just as she was looking back to her notes Amelia heard a little thwick! as a crinkled bit of paper landed on her desk. She looked up to see Arthur's wand pointed in her direction and his attention on her. Discreetly, Amelia smoothed the paper to read its contents. Apparently, Neve hadn't been the only one to notice her intervention.

Amelia could not tell from the writing if the boy had meant his tone to be read seriously or as sarcasm. His face betrayed nothing as Amelia had rarely seen him with anything but an attentive or smug look on his face, the latter after he had correctly answered the 100th question of the day. Amelia pulled out her quill and wrote neatly beneath his message:

Very observant of you to notice.

Waiting until the teacher had directed her attention elsewhere, Amelia cast a temporary disillusionment charm on the scrap of paper before hovering it over to the boy's desk. It reappeared as soon as it touched the wood surface of the desk, and Amelia immediately turned her attention back to the lesson, not wanting to lose house points over passing notes with a boy she barely knew nor cared about.

Gabrielle locked the boggart in the cabinet for a couple of moments. "Don't worry Miss Starr hardly someone successeds from the 1st try." she said as the inpatient boy wanted his turn. "I can;t seem to understand where is the fire Mister Poe." she said with a calm voice. "I would more like for Miss Starr to give it another try." she said holding tight her wand.

"No one will leave this classroom untill end of class so Miss Starr just concetrate and think of something cheering.You'll have to face this boggart since if you don't i won't be able to release a real dementor." she said remembering that dementor was much worse. "[b]Whenever you\re ready." she added quickly.

Neve listened to the teacher talking but didn't look up. She sat in her seat not moving while everyone waited. She really didn't want to try again, but this was her chance to show everyone that she could do it. Neve closed her eyes for a few moments and imagined herself beating the Boggart. She breathed deeply then got up and went to the front again. It's not real. It's not real. It's not real. She repeated to herself. When she was completely clam she flicked her wand at the cabinet and it opened. The eye floated out again, but Neve was ready for it. She took a deep breath then waved her wand and a beautiful panther came out of it and paced infront of her. She waved her wand again and said 'Riddikulus.' Suddenly the eye snapped shut and turned into a bubble. Satisfied, Neve smiled and turned to the teacher, waiting to see what she said.

Belle raised her hand, "Professor, I would also like to try if I may. I have casted my Patronus one time perfectly but only for a short moment. I would very much like to practice." She said.

Though it was a Boggart they were going against, and she dreaded faceing her worst fear, but sometimes the only way to deal with things was to face them head on and so she wanted to give it a shot.

Nicky again late in class... He took the nearest seat. "Sorry, I'm late ,professor..." he said. Naaah... How to get her out of my mind anyway!!! He took his book and waited for his turn to face the boggart. Why no the real Dementor? Where is all the adventures go??

Positive as Always, Miseria came into the classroom. She was upset about being late, but smiling at everyone cherrfully, she glared at the fake dementor. Cool! she thaught and quietly she sat down on one empty place. She took out her wand and waited. Miseria wanted to practise, too. Defence against the dark arts is one of her favorites lessons!

"Very good Miss Starr 10 points from Rawenclaw." Gabrielle commented before she noticed some late students.Without a word she just noted them down. "Since there's 2 boggarts now Miss Fey and Mister Poe can give it a try." she added still holding her wand for precaution.

Arthur stood up and went in front of the cupboard. He took his wand out. Although he knew what would come out, he was not so afraid. He was confident in his skills. He had used and practiced the spell several times before. The door opened.

The Boggart that was in there exited, but it transformed into a person. The person was dead, all in black. He knew who it was, but since her face was covered, the rest of the class could not see it. He pointed his wand. ''Expecto Patronum!'', he said. His wand started to glow and a big, white, shiny owl came out. It spread its wings and went to the corpse. In a few seconds, the owl managed to push the Boggart back into the cupboard. It spread its wings once again and, as Arthur put his wand down, disappeared. He succeeded. The Boggart tried to come out again, but Arthur just flicked his hand and closed the door with a non-verbal Colloportus. ''I hope it was satisfactory for you professor'', Arthur said.

Belle took a deep breath and nodded to signal she was ready for the doors to open, when the did she held her breath when at first nothing happened and then the boggart stepped out...but its form kept changing so that you could not tell who the two people were blending and merging with one anther...but Belle did they were of course her worst fear.

But Belle braced herself and her chin rose a notch and she threw her wand out, ''Expecto Patronum!'' The very second her powerful words ended a very large draft stallion erupted from the tip of her wand rearing and crying his challege to the boggart. He started moving forward stamping his front hoof while his tail slashed back and forth with his anger. Finally the boggart backed into the cupboard where the doors closed. The stallion snorted once before mistying slowly and flowing away.

Belle smiled with triumph and turned her sparkling smile and eyes to the professor. "I did it!" she exclaimed...happy that for once being around others had not stopped her from properly performing the charm.
