She smiled wryly. "Yes, actually. I used to attend Beauxbatons, but I've been attending Hogwarts since Fourth Year." Melody rolled up her homework and stuffed it in her bag. She then pulled off her robes and tossed them over the back of the armchair, it was rather hot.

Danny nodded as she mentioned Beauxbatons. So many students had exchanged from there to here so it was a wonder why so many people were leaving. "So what year are ya?" he asked calmly wondering if she was a 6th year. It seemed that she may have been a 5th year due to the homework in the common room. The only time he ever saw people do homework in the common room was when the OWLS were coming or close to it.

"I'm in fifth-year," Melody told him with a small smile. "This work isn't much. We had it harder at Beauxbatons." She added. But then again, she hated Beauxbatons. The students there were always too stuck up to talk to the girl with the weird accent, even though she spoke perfect French.

Sophia walked into the Gryffindor Common Room with her bookbag filled with heavy books. "Hey Danny, how are you?"Sophia asked him realizing she interuppted him and a girl talking. "Oh I'm so sorry, that was very rude of me."said Sophia realizing that was rude butting in to there conversation they were having. "I'm Sophia Granger by the way, Head Girl and Gryffindor Seventh year."said Sophia giving her a soft warm smile.

Tara did not look up as someone else walked in. She bent down and grabbed out the notebook full of pictures as she turned her back on the fire so no one could see het. Tara flipped through the pages filled with pictures of he sister. Tara wiahed they were not muggle photos but they did not move. Tara smiled as she fliped through the book feeling a little better about her day

"Melody Power, fifth-year." She replied with her own small smile. Melody twirled a long lock of silvery hair around her right index finger. "So.. This school is quite... pretty." She said, trying to break the silence.

Sophia smiled warmly at her. "Yes it is, I love it and if you need any help getting around or anything let me know."said Sophia softly. "Sorry if this sounds rude but are you half veela or anything? I was half veela I don't know if I still am seeing how I'm a vampire now."said Sophia.

Danny greeted Sophia and then looked back to Melody "Yeah Hogwarts has its interesting moments yet not as often anymore," he said calmly and the shifted in his seat.

Melody shook her head slowly. "No, I'm not, but my mum is. That'd make me one-quarter Veela." She calculated quickly. "Yes, it's very different from Beauxbatons." she laughed a silvery laugh.

Danny chuckled at the thought of Beauxbatons. He heard from girl exchange students that it was a cool place. He would never know and in truth, was glad. "So," he started "would Beauxbatons be a better place than this? I heard it was a girls only school or something."
