"I dont belong in detention, Ill have you know that at times I can be a model pupil." It was half true, in three of his classes anyways. Nick smiled at her as she approached him. It was then the conversation turned a little serious, Nick leant back on a table and listened to her intently. So she knew about Tom Riddle and Dumbledore, well so she should, they were after all the best who had ever lived. Indeed her father was right, both Tom and Dumbledore were masters at their respective ends of the spectrum. Riddle was a dark art's genius, and despite the evil that he had commited, one had to respect his magical ability. Dumbledore on the other hand had been a master of everything, from what Nick had heard. Though he had met his end through means of the dark lord eventually, same for that Harry Potter. Nick smiled and replied "Your father must be a smart man, to appreciate fully the work both men have done for the wizarding world. What do you think about them? Do you know much about Tom Riddle?"
Nick wouldn't admit it but from an early age he had had a rather morbid fascination with the dark lord, though he resented the fact that his ideals were all wrong. Still, if Nick was ever as skilled as Tom perhaps there was hope for the world yet. Both Nick and Riddle shared a number of characteristics. Both were parseltounges, both had been in Slytherin house and seemingly Tom had also been a good looking, popular teenager at school. Nick smiled "I wouldn't worry about him, the ministry blow alot of the stories out of proportion."
