Ben smiled. Alice was picking it up really quickly. He had taken ages to learn, he remembered his first time he tried. It had been really embarrassing. "You're doing great." he whispered into Alice's ear. He didn't mind her blushing. It was cute, in a way, he thought. He carried on dancing with her, full of happiness.

"Thanks..." she whispered back. She decided to enjoy herself. She relaxed her shoulders and made particular note to the music. It was special music, now. But Alice wondered something that she planned not to say aloud. She wondered if Ben had asked her to dance because she was the first single girl he saw, they were just friends, or something more. She dearly hoped it wasn't the first one. She preffered it not to be the second one. But the third one, Alice didn't want to contemplate that it may not be true.

Ben noticed as Alice relaxed herself more. He smiled as she was getting the hang of it. His thoughts then turned to him. Them. He then realised what he had asked her was really vague. He didn't know if she liked him, well how much she liked him. A friend or more? He wondered if she said yes because she was alone or because she actually wanted to dance with him. He had never realised girls were so complicated before. He just kept on smiling at her. All he knew was that he liked her. That was what he was going to go by. "Anytime." he replied. It wasn't much, but he didn't think much talk was needed when dancing.

Catalina smiled up at Sterling before looking over at Daniel. She flashed him a beautiful grin before muttering, "Hello, Danny. How are you?"

She glanced back at Sterling and pulled herself closer, so that their bodies were almost touching. For the first time since Deimos, she actually felt safe around a boy. Sterling was gentle, and kind. What could he ever do to harm her? And she could protect him just like he could her. It was perfect.

Sterling felt the comfort of Cat push herself closer to him. He felt as if he had just been running for an hour, he was winded and his heart was pounding. It couldn't have been the music or the speed of the dance, which remained slow and peaceful. He felt dazed and shocked as they danced, but he smiled broadly.

He stroked their joined hands with his thumb in tempo as they continued to twirl in the crowd. Nobody was leading anymore, it was more of a mutual decision to go wherever fate pulled them.

Samantha loved being with Ne'os, he made her feel loved and whole. She opened her eyes, without moving her head, then looked around the dance floor to see other people dancing happily with their partners.
