Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Alone for once (Jesse) - Page 3 Empty Re: Alone for once (Jesse)

Chase laughed and looked at his face carefully before taking his hand again. Then he asked the first question and she felt a crease appear between her eyes. She thought hard and then looked up at him. "I am single."She said simply after much thought on those three words. She didn't say if she had a boyfriend or not, just that she was single. He probably thought the Ravenclaw from the story going around was her boyfriend and he wanted to see if it was true. "I have a...relationship, with the Ravenclaw boy."She said softly her eyes downcast. "But, we are both free to date whoever we want."She said slowly. "So yes, I am single."She said looking up at him a small amount of pain showing in her eyes.

When he asked that question, he could see the hesitation in her eyes. Of course everyone assumed the Ravenclaw who had cast the killing curse to try and save her would be her boyfriend, but he was surprised to find out that he wasn't. He could not tell if she was lying, or telling the truth. Then he realized there was no way she would lie, she just did not seem like the kind of person to lie, so Jesse believed her. He bet her relationship with the boy was rocky, especially after what happened, and Jesse did not want to be the one to screw it up, but then why was he holding both her hands and flirting with her.

"Does he know its just a relationship?" He asked carefully, wanting to make sure she did not make a mistake by being with Jesse.

Chase nodded. "He knows it can't work out between us, it's impossible with my family's status, and his...family."She said shaking her head. "It's basically impossible for me to be with anyone who doesn't have a tad bit of magical blood in them, and he comes from a muggleborn family."She said softly. She looked up at him again and smiled. "Next Question, remember it can be anything."She said looking up at him hiding the pain away from him.

When she said it could not work out between them, he felt really terrible. She seemed like she really did like this boy, and not being able to be with someone you like has to be terrible. Still, she did not seem to want to press the subject anymore, so he racked his brain for another question. He grinned when he thought of it, and he knew it would probably make her laugh as well.

"On a scale of one to ten, what am I?" He laughed lightly.

Chase watched him think really hard for a question and then laughed when it finally came out. She stepped back from him carefully and looked him over. Giggling she stroked her chin and walked around him as though examining him. "I would say..a eight."She said looking up at him grinning. She winked and without thinking grabbed a hold of his hands again looking them over her gaze concentrated. "Yeah, I'd say an eight."She said looking up at him. "And that's personality wise too!"She said winking again.

Jesse looked at her like was shocked again, but he was somewhat happy when she grabbed his hands again. He was enjoying the time they were spending together, and the rain was starting to let up. Hopefully the clouds would be gone in a few minutes and they could dry off in the sun, something that would be a lot better to Jesse, he liked the sun so much better. "I am genuinely insulted! I am a nine and a half on a bad day, if anything I should be off the charts!" He laughed again, and remembered he had one more question, hoping that the question about the Ravenclaw did not pertain to his three questions.

"Do you like holding my hands, misses Moor?"

Chase was caught off guard by the question and looked up at him startled before looking back at their hands. "Hmm...yeah I think I do."She said without thinking it over to much. "They are so big!"She said flattening her hand out on his palm and lining up the bottom of her hand to the bottom of his hand. Her fingers barely made the first crease in his fingers. She gasped slightly looking up at him amusement on her face. Just then there was one last grumble of thunder as though it wanted to make a parting wish and the rain stopped. Leaving them standing there, hand to hand looking at each other. Then, slowly, ever so slowly, the sun peeked out from behind a cloud to watch them. Leaving everything sparkling from the rain.

As they stood there, hand in hand, Jesse could only smile at her. As the sun began to rise, it fell onto her, making her look beautiful in the sunlight. He stared at her for a few seconds, not knowing that he was looking at her like he was, then he quickly stopped, "You know, if I didn't know any better, I would say you are hitting on me." He laughed, pulled her over to the tree by her hand, not letting go of it, and then he sat down beside of a tree, offfering her a seat next to him.

Chase giggled and sat down next to him carefully her hand still in his. "Now where would you get that idea?"She asked looking at him her eyes glinting in amusement. She had never really thought she was hitting on him. she blinked a few times in actual confusement. Is that what guys saw her as? A flirt? She looked startled at this new revelation. Though it appeared that she looked startled over nothing. She looked up at him her hand still in his without her really realizing it. "I'm sorry..."She said suddenly looking at him thoughtfully. "I'll try not to hit on you if you don't like it."She said slowly looking down at their hands for a second before looking back up at him.

He grinned when she said that, then he began to laugh at her. Her genuine confusion made him laugh. She even apologized to him, something a girl had never done before while flirting with him. He looked at her in her eyes and spoke softly "I didn't say I didn't like it." He winked and then looked back out onto the lake. He felt weird because he was so wet, but he was still enjoying the time they were spending together. He looked back over at her and casually said "So what would you do if I just leaned in....." He leaned in very close to her face "Like this?"
