I chose Lord Voldemort. Not because I liked him, no. But because I liked what he represented- he represented what we should never do with our villains. Voldemort had no emotion, no motive, no nothing. He did not feel affection, could never accurately be considered human, and did everything truly for himself. Nobody truly benefited from what he did, and he had no reason to desire immortality. It was almost beyond the point of Stupid. If Voldemort was presented as a foil to Harry, he would have been calm, accepting, tricky and far less manipulative.

In short, Voldemort was a cardboard cut out, and for that, he inspires to create something better.
