"Hi, David," Angus greeted Phelps and shook hands with him. "Make yourself at home."
"Glad to be here," Phelps said. Phelps sat down, listening to Jessie explain things a bit further and then listening to his explanation about Ruby.
"Thank you, Jessie," Angus said. "I don't know when Ruby went off the rails, but she seemed okay to me until we decided to go to Honeydukes. And the minute we decided to go out, it just got all weird. I don't know what happened, but she certainly isn't the Ruby that I thought I knew. I don't understand her at all right now. Jessie, I've seen a couple of cases when I was an auror of people that suddenly got ill like this. If we have to, Robert, as the chief medical officer of St Mungo's, can actually order her to go with Jeffrey. Of course, we'd rather not have to do that, but just so you know. It is an option--the last option but it's there. I'll do whatever I need to do to try to help. At this point, I just don't know what that is."
At that moment, Caprice let out an angry tearful wail, and a foul, foul smell rose up to Sam's nose.
"Ew," Sam scowled. "How can one tiny baby have such a big bad stench?"
"So change her," Victor said.
"You change her," Sam frowned. "She's disgusting."
"I'll get it," Angus couldn't help laughing. "Gas and poop. That's my job, I think." He picked her up, and he had to admit, she really was rank. "Ralph, what on earth did you do?" He took her to get a diaper and to change her.
