Brian and Khaat both already knew time was of the essence, but they also knew that making sure they had the medical equipment they needed was worth the few seconds it took to get.
"Angus!" Brian shouted. "We're going to the farm. Robert's been hurt." Angus flew out of the kitchen.
"Can I help?" Angus asked.
"Stay on your toes in case we need anything. Keep things under control here until I tell you otherwise. I don't know if I'll need you to come and get Abbey or not," Brian said. "And St. Mungo's or Paris tries to contact Robert, send those things to me for right now. I'll keep you posted."
"Understood," Angus said, as Brian took the bags from Jessie. He gave Khaat's bag to her, and he shouldered his own and then took Khaat's hand.
"We'll meet you there, Jessie," Brian said, apparating out.
Kate opened the protections on the floo, but she wasn't going to open anything else. No one else needed to try to get in except who they sent for. She appreciated Jack's words, but right now, she had none of her own. She and Robert had been through scrapes before, and they would weather this one too. She was caught between being concerned for her husband and being angry and frustrated with him for always feeling like he needed to burn the candle not only at both ends but in the middle too. Not only that, but he always felt like he could handle whatever level of fatigue came his way. He just completely ignored fatigue and exhaustion like they didn't matter. Tonight, it angered her, but she knew this was not the time.
Once she opened the floo, she set a cleaning spell in place in the weapons room and then headed to the kitchen to make fresh tea and coffee. She needed her hands to be busy.
