Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The teacher picked her, just like Davina had hoped.
"The charm 'Protego Horribilis' is one of the forms of the shield charm, 'Protego', which especially protects the user against highly dark magic." Davina explained to the teacher and the class. She knew she was right, she had read about this spell before. Filius Flitwick, an old Hogwarts Professor and Head of Ravenclaw had been known to use this spell a fair bit. Flitwick was one of Davina's idols which was why she knew so much about him. And of course, the fact that she had read half the books in the Hogwarts library helped too.

Once again, Davina's hand shot up into the air. She had a bit of a reputation for being a know-it-all, but Davina didn't really mind it. She wasn't the kind of girl who would change because of what other people thought.

Pleased, Davina said. "Well, the disarming charm is 'expelliarmus', which comes from latin, with 'expelo' meaning 'to drive out' and 'arma' meaning weapon." Davina said. Not one of her longest answers, but it was hard to add anything to that.

[[OOC: I think it's a good idea RP-wise to tell other students to do things even though my character is mega-competitive & hates it.]]

Davina was annoyed that Rose got to do the demonstration. She had answered all the questions herself though, she thought smugly. She was better than that Rose girl in all the subjects anyway, she needed the practise. Yeah, Davina didn't need to practise how to disarm people, she had been able to do that for years.
