New player, new character looking for a place to begin and people to write with

Okay, so essentially I want to kick things off for my character Caspian Winters, he is a first year and a Hufflepuff (although he hasn't been sorted yet.) He is muggle born and totally new to the wizarding world, so perhaps a complete crash course would be good, whether a professor or 5th or 6th year student sent to help get books, cauldron, pet etc all/any help appreicated. Meeting people and making friends and getting things started.

Hi! I have two sixth years who could've been of some help had they not been in Ilvermorny(I assume Caspian is not, being a first year and all, or maybe? I dunno) but depending on what could happen there's:

Hitame Mulciber - Her real name's Anabelle but she has this thing for the Japanese culture and her aunt's husband gave her the nickname Hitame and it stuck, so that's what she's called. She's a Gryffindor, a Pureblood, and a family outcast because she loves muggle things and it just vastly different from other family members.

Then I have Evander Yaxley, a Ravenclaw and the Nobody twin of his brother Cronis(who I will also probably play lol). Evan is kind and down to earth, but has his moments just like everyone else.

The rest of my characters are Grads but I'll list them anyways in case anyone spikes your interest.

Kaiden Poliakoff - Slytherin grad, twenty, has amnesia.

Ryo Hiroku - Hufflepuff grad, twenty-five, Spirit Specialist, Owner of Eyelops Owl Emporium, Vampire.

Rose Granger-Weasley - Ravenclaw grad, twenty-three, Assistant Director at St. Mungo's.

Out of the three of them, I'd say Caspian would probably have met Ryo because he'd need to go shopping for his things in Diagon Alley, and one of the things he will need is a pet. Since Ryo owns the pet shop, Cas would've had to go in at some point.

Would it be possible to write a prequel event. i.e you write with your Gryffindor or Ravenclaw helping me out in, meeting me at the leaky Cauldron and then guiding me around Diagon Alley. Then or at the same time, which ever is easiest/best I can write with same character at Ilvermorny. Caspian could be on his very first Hogwarts Express ride to Hogwarts when the event takes place.

caspian, i have a little huffle he can befriend if he wants. she's just finished her 1st yr. so she'll be starting her second, if she ever gets out of ilvermorny. lol.

Awesome, sounds perfect. Well I am hoping to post in Ilvermorny under the context Cas was on the train to Hogwarts to begin his first year.

The train was actually leaving Hogwarts so Cas wouldn't be on it. They haven't left for their year towards Hogwarts.

Goose is an incoming first year who actually knows the ropes and already has the run of Diagon. They could certainly bump into each other!

Ahh, okay, that's a shame. However Goose sounds the ideal character to help Caspian get going, where would be best to meet him? (I am guessing it's a him, I am purely going off Top Gun though.)

Hitame and Evander are actually friends, so I can see them being together when they meet Caspian. We can do a past thread if you like, where maybe he gets lost and they find him? They can definitely show him around Diagon Alley and that can be how he meets Ryo too. Hit's also friends with him and his little sister, so it would make sense if they meet through her.

Pretty much anywhere, Hogsmeade or Diagon. He wanders.

Since I want to extend this to as many as wish and am more than happy for Cas to meet and befriend a lot of students. Not sure who knows who IC, how about we say that Hogwarts have an initiative. The older students help out new first years and act like mentors. Gives the older students responsibility or so is the thinking. We could say there is a group of newbie student first years and all are suppose to meet at a meeting point, whch is where Cas can meet Goose and Charlie, sound good?
