Diving into the deep waters

Athena sighed at him. " I know that you're never going to get hurt again, but I hope you never get that hurt again, that was like a was stuck in a bad dream and I couldn't wake up for a few days. " said Athena honestly. " Vampire or not, I think she's a very nice person, just because she's different doesn't mean she should be treated differently. Sorry...just makes me mad at how creatures are treated, they have emotions and feelings to, so they shouldn't be treated differently because of what they are. " said Athena honestly before sighing. Athena laughed. " Yeah it honestly does, although the swan princess was a muggle movie back when I was little, was one of my favorite movies. " said Athena. Athena laughed and shook her head. " Nope no boys fawning over me, at least not that I know of! "Athena said laughing. Athena looked at him and shrugged. " You don't have to say them now, but I know it's weird for me to say it so soon, but it feels right telling you that. " said Athena softly but honestly. Athena looked at him and pulled away from him with hurt in her blue eyes. " Do you really think that I would do that to you Vaughn, just because Dakota did something like that to you? "Athena asked him softly but curiously tearing up. ” How could you think that?!"Athena asked him. 


Athena looked at the water and nodded. " I'm not a fan of it either, although I hear the lake is amazing when it's extremely hot outside. " said Athena honestly. " Good I don't think that I could swim today anyways, it's going to take me a while to get over my fear if I ever do, it's almost worse then my fear of flying on a airplane or broom. " said Athena blushing. " I know I'm a pathetic little girl who's scared of everything, and how even became a Gryffindor is beyond me. " said Athena honestly. Although Athena knew that bravery came in all types of things and forms, the hat must have seen Bravery in her or something to place her in Gryffindor.

Vaughn nodded knowing that it had to hurt worse for someone to see him like that. "Well I better stay away from the forest just in case." He said with a smile on his face. "Yes she is a nice person until your the one in the bed. I tried getting up once and all I could feel was her glare turned towards me. I almost laughed except I couldn't so I just smiled. She passed me and pointed a finger and then I did laugh." He laughed again at the memory of how Anya had reacted when he tried to get out of bed. "Sometimes other people can't seem them for who they are and only for what they are." He said shaking his head softly. "I never watched those kinds of movies 'cause I thought they were girly." He grinned at her. He nodded at her words of them feeling right for her. When she pulled away at his words he grabbed her hand and pulled her back towards him. "Let me explain myself to you. I don't think you are anything like Dakota. The only reason I said that is because with my father being ill. I'll have a lot more responsibilities back home, I may not be able to spend a lot of time with you. I want to but I'll need to take care of my brother while my mom is looking after our father. With him being sick, I must take responsibility and look after everything. I'll have to make sure everything is in order. Even after all that I told you would you still stay with me if we only got a few stolen moments a day?"

"Yes it is when the days are really hot it's always a great time to take a dip in the lake." He said smiling as he moved more water with his hand. "Well I've never been on a airplane and honestly I don't think I ever will. I'll do my best to get you used to the water." He took her hand in his. "Your not pathetic Athena. It's not something that stupid or anything. The hat saw something in you that was brave and he knew to place you into Gryffindor. Well if you won't tell anyone, I'm afraid of small spaces but yet I'm also in Gryffindor."

Athena laughed. " Yeah I say stay away from the forest as much as possible, although for some odd reason it fascinates me, is that weird? "Athena asked him. " I guess I always wanted to see what other things that were in there, like animals and stuff. " said Athena honestly. Athena laughed. " Ok reminder, not to try to get up around healer Anya, it will not end well."said Athena laughing. Athena nodded and sighed. " Yeah it's quite sad really, not all vampires are bad, they're just mad out to be bad due to their history. "said Athena. Athena giggled. " Of course you wouldn't, you probably watched some boy TV shows like Power Rangers or something like that! "said Athena giggling at him. Athena looked at up at him as he grabbed her hand pulling her back towards him. " I understand that Vaughn, family comes first to you, and it should."said Athena softly but honestly. " I'll help you in any way that I can Vaughn, you're not in this alone ok? "Athena asked him softly but curiously. " I know that everything isn't centered around me Vaughn, and regardless of everything, I'll still be with you. " said Athena kissing him softly on the lips.  


Athena smiled as he moved the water with his hand, Athena gotten a wicked idea and moved her hand to splash him before giggling. " My grandfather died in a airplane crash, that's why I'm scared of flying on a airplane or broom. " said Athena honestly. Athena smiled. " Thanks Vaughn love, I appreciate that, but I'm sorry if I start to freak out tomorrow. " said Athena. Athena looked at him and nodded. " I won't tell anyone Vaughn I promise, but you're right, the hat had to see bravery in us somewhere to be Gryffindors."said Athena honestly.

"Yes it is weird, well to me it is, but weird is good sometimes. I'll have to keep you away from the forest, so just know if you go towards the forest. I'm liable to pick you up in a fireman's carry and cart you towards the castle. Just fair warning." Vaughn said with a grin. "Oh and demo of what a fireman's carry is..." He picked up Athena putting her over his shoulder and carrying her towards the shallow end before putting her back down. "..Like that." He grinned widely at that. "Yeah she tends to be protective of the kids that go in there. She wants you to heal not try to further hurt yourself because you want to sit up." He said laughing at the look he got a few times. "Yeah but the bad ones is what gives the good ones a bad reputation no matter what." He sighed remembering what Anya said about being a vampire. "Psh I didn't watch Power Rangers. I watched Transformers. Best cartoon in the world." He said laughing because it made him sound like a dork. He listened to everything that she said about him not being able to give her a lot of time. When she kissed him, he kissed her back pulling her to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist before breaking the kiss.

Vaughn was surprised when Athena splashed him with water and decided to splash her a little bit back laughing. "I'm sorry sweetheart." He said putting his arms around her in a hug. "If you freak out that's fine, we're just gonna take it nice and slow." He smiled at her sweetly then grinned more when she said she wouldn't say anything. "Yes it did have to see something."

Athena laughed. " I promise that I won't go into the forest, after what happened to you, I don't think I'll ever go into the forest again. " said Athena honestly. Athena giggled as he picked her up and carried her towards the shallow end. "Hm...perhaps I need to go to the forest then, I liked you carrying me like that."said Athena playfully before smirking at him. Athena nodded. " She just wants what's best for us, she wants us better, not to be in anymore pain. " said Athena. Athena sighed. "Yeah which is quite a pity, because they make the good ones look bad as well, which they're not. " said Athena honestly. Athena laughed. " I like Transformers, the movies are awesome, I watched them with my brother."said Athena. Athena smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist before she kissed him back.  


Athena looked at him and giggled seeing how surprised he looked as she splashed him. Athena squealed and laughed before splashing him back. Athena hugged him back before she laid her head on his chest. " It's ok, I just miss him alot, just hard with him not being around. "said Athena holding back tears. " I just thought I'll give you a fair warning, I'm glad that you're taking it nice and slow with me, my brother was mean when he tried to teach me how to swim. " said Athena shivering at the memory. " I'm quite glad to be a Gryffindor, I love being a Gryffindor, I'm proud to be a Gryffindor. " said Athena.

"Oh we will go to the edge when needed but we won't go in as far as I happened to last time." Vaughn said and laughed at her next words. He shook his head at her trying hard not to laugh more at her liking him carrying her over his shoulder. "Yeah she does want what best for everyone. That's what makes her a great healer, she cares for everyone and is concerned about their well being." He said thinking of her character around everyone. "Yeah which is why everyone has a bad view on them unless they know a good one." His eyes got wide when she said that she liked Transformers. "Wow really? I have to thank your brother for that one." He said laughing.

He splashed her back grinning before going in for a kiss. He rested his hands on her hips laying his cheek against her hair. "Well I may now have to kick his butt for being mean to you while teaching you to swim." He said smiling then started laughing when the room began playing music. "Sorry that was my fault. I'm glad to be a Gryffindor as well."

"I hear unicorns are by the edge of it going in during early morning and before sunset, I would like to see them, I love unicorns."said Athena honestly. Athena squealed and giggled happily at the thought of him carrying her the way he was. "That's true, I never been in the hospital wing when she's there, I don't even think that I have been in the hospital wing other then visiting my friends. said Athena honestly. " I never met a vampire or anything like that, although I love animals, magical or non magical. " said Athena. Athena laughed and nodded. " Yeah I do, I like Bumblebee, he's my favorite although Optimus Prime is awesome! "said Athena. " I watched those all the time with my older brother, the cartoons and movies."said Athena. 


Athena laughed and splashed him back, and giggled and blushed as he kissed her. Athena kissed him back. Athena blushed and smiled enjoying the feeling of him close to her, she nuzzled against his soft warm body. Athena laughed. " You may have to, but he felt bad after he threw me into the water and I almost drowned, but he gotten to me before I went under. " said Athena. Athena laughed as music played. " It's ok, guess the room has a mind of its own as well."said Athena still laughing.

"Well unicorns only like girls so I'd have to stay back while you went to see them. I'll take you sometime to go see them. Just remember with any animal you have to go slowly and hold out your hand to them when your about five feet in front of you. That way they can smell you and get used to your scent." Vaughn said with a smile. "Yeah but she's a good healer and a good person all around." He remembered talking with her when he couldn't sleep. "She told me stories when I couldn't sleep about her time at Hogwarts. She's a Ravenclaw graduate. She was friends with a boy who was a Slytherin, apparently he works here too but she wouldn't tell me who it was." He said with a grin remembering the stories she shared with him. He nodded at her words of not having met a vampire but loved animals. "Ok where have you been? Optimus Prime was my favorite besides Bumblebee." He smiled as he looked at her. "Your brother was awesome if you watch those with him."

"Ok yeah but he'd probably want to kick my butt for dating his sister." He said laughing softly. "I have an idea, get dressed back into your regular clothes." He grinned as he lead her out of the water and then went to go put his own clothes back on.

Athena's eyes brightened happily. " Really? That would be wonderful, I always wanted to see them, they're such beautiful creatures. " said Athena. Athena nodded. " I was told that I have a way with animals, I guess that's true, I honestly don't know. " said Athena honestly. " She sounds like a very nice and caring person, the days that I was in there, she was very nice to me. "said Athena. Athena laughed. " Wow...are you serious? I would love to hear these stories now, they sound interesting. " said Athena honestly before laughing. Athena laughed. " I always been here, but I'm usually overlooked by people, but not this year."said Athena. " Besides I'm glad that I did, otherwise I wouldn't have met someone as sweet and wonderful as you. " said Athena giving him a soft warm smile. " We should watch them together sometimes at my house, I got all of the movies. " said Athena. 


Athena laughed. " Nah... he won't hurt you unless you treat me wrong or hurt me, which you never will, so you don't have to worry about it! "said Athena kissing his cheek. Athena looked at him confused before she followed him out shivering as she was out of pool. Athena put her clothes back onsstarting to feel a bit warmer then she was. "What's your idea Vanny? "Athena asked him curiously looking at him curiously but his idea.

"Yeah I'll take you to go see them sweetheart. They probably will love you." Vaughn said with a smile. "Well I guess I get to see first hand if the rumors are true. Then we can say you the magic touch with animals," He grinned at her and nodded at her words. "She's a nice person to everyone and loves being around people." He said then laughed. "Yeah I'm serious, I wasn't able to sleep a few times and she told me stories until I fell asleep. They were really interesting but I think there's something there she doesn't want anyone to know. She also told me how she was turned and how her family helps her all the time." He smiled remembering all the stories she told him those nights. "No not this year or any year after this." He said looking into her eyes. "Yes I would love that Transformers marathon.

"No I won't hurt you or treat you wrong, I promise you that here and now." He said and kissed her lips softly. When they were out of the pool and fully dressed. He took Athena's hand making the pool disappear a dance floor replacing it. He Held out his hand to her and smiled, "Dance with me?
